Although I don't agree with everything he did (I'm thinking of you LISA) his impact on our industry is huge. From one nerd who learned the ropes on an Apple II - thank you for showing us nerds the way. I hope your vision will continue to inspire a new generation.
No... The vast majority of police in this country are honest, hardworking individuals who genuinely care about the communities they work and live in. However, by allowing corrupt activities of the few to pollute the well of this honesty, the *entire* well is now poisoned. All activities should be videotaped by as many parties as possible to uphold the integrity of the many against the corruption of the few. A public official (sworn or not), should have *no* expectation of privacy in the performance of their official duties -

But even if they do... chances are the judicial branch will issue a reading sufficiently narrow enough to make the whole thing pointless. I picture a situation where the ACLU wins, but the court will restrict it in such a manner to render that win meaningless in practical terms.
My head just exploded... This is where the f***'d up copyright law in the US has gotten us. The original artist passed away 26 years ago... This shouldn't be an issue, but yet... here we are! What an amazing crock of shit! Years ago I remember reading an SF story about how generations of lawyers keep lawsuits going long after the originators and their heirs have died... Illustrating the exact point that I'm trying to make in my drunken haze - the *only* people who will profit from this are the lawyers... bah!!
So - 116.20 for PPL - how much for PRS then? I'm just guessing it isn't as 'insignificant' as you say. Barbershops aren't huge money making ventures - neither are horse stable for that matter. So by taking the 'ITS THE LAW' road, the collection agencies (who's to say there won't be more tomorrow) effectively squeeze this business out... No more money for them... and another barber on the dole... good job!
Mike,
give it up. You're arguing with a dinosaur. The collection agencies and all the other 'value added' middle-men will soon either adapt to the changing world or be consigned to the dustbin of history. You and all of us on this site have argued with this tool until we are blue in the face. You can't talk sense to a mule - you get a sore jaw, and the mule just gets pissed - so just declare this thread over and realize some people won't 'ever' get it.

Hmmm...
As of the 2010 Census, the population of Massachusetts was 6,547,629.
divide that by the number of suspensions a day and 365 days a year:
6,547,629 / (1500*365) = 11.95 years.
So in about 12 years nobody can drive in Massachusetts??!?1?

This is a naked power grab, and those hired thugs^H^H^H^H^H *legislators* should be ashamed of themselves.
I'm not surprised, but at the same time utterly appalled, at how transparently greedy our elected officials - at all levels - have become.
I know that I am becoming increasingly ashamed of my 20 years of military service to protect selfish prigs such as these.
