" But, of course, we recognize that most of the spam blogs get no attention at all, and anyone who does actually stumble across them, and like them, will quickly realize that the content comes from somewhere else, and will eventually find their way here and (hopefully) stick around."
That's how you got me here... So, you know, it's not all good.
I guess what I mean to say is that retailers should not be allowed to use the words "buy" or "sell" if it is not actually bought or sold but is, in fact, loaned for a fee and an arbitrary timeframe.
What we really need is a new term to replace "buying" when the thing you buy isn't actually yours. It's not exactly leasing, as there are no real terms. It's not borrowing, because you are paying for it.
I'm sorry, but how is it any better if it's not Clapper?
The White House is the problem, not Clapper. Clapper is one fox overseeing the hen house. The White House is a troop of foxes! (Ok, i don't know what you call a large number of foxes... A band? A gaggle?)
Someone not connected to the White House needs to set this up, and the White House, if they want even a hint of transparency, will accept who is named.
Nobody in Congress nor in the White House should be trusted with this because they are not trustworthy people.
I apologize unreservedly. I voted for this guy. Not twice, thank the gods, but once was bad enough. The atrocious mess he has made of our civil rights, of whistleblowers pointing out criminal activity and being crushed for it, of playing the proverbial fiddle while the constitution burned... It's partly my fault.
I used to be a card carrying republican. I left that party about 15 years ago when it became clear they were not remotely the 'party of Lincoln' anymore. I thought I might be better off voting for Democrats, but it is clearly not the case.
I know it is an empty gesture, but i will from this point on be voting only for independents and 3rd party candidates. At least that way my poor judgement will have minimal impact.
First off, some of my best friends happen to be giraffes, and what's wrong with them enjoying a drink or two?
Second, what I am desperately hoping this leads to is an ISP that is not, in any way, a content provider. I currently have no CATV nor landline, but I am still forced to use Comcast for my internet access. They literally have a monopoly where I live.
So maybe if they are weakened by cord-cutters, we will see alternatives come along to eat their proverbial breakfast.
We've become the bad guys. We may be good people by and large, but our leadership no longer is. We are bullies. We are aggressive. And we are deceitful.
I'm glad to see a bold statement by a former POTUS is finally making its way to the American media. I had to find out about this from a translated German publication.
Ok, someone who knows this sort of thing... is there a remedy?
When a judge is this incompetent/corrupt, is there a remedy? An impeachment process? Can you, as the affected party, go to a higher judge and have him reprimanded or removed or something?
