Reading is equal easily to the cell phone, but at least with some forms of sexual activity, you can still see the road. I disagree with conversing with passenger, even if you are the moron who must look at the other person, surely you would notice when their eyes got as big as saucers as you steer into the path of an oncoming vehicle, or attempt to rearend the vehicle in front. The other member of the cell conversation does not have this connection.
Really no argument there, I'm normally a rights first sort of guy. I do find the level of concentration required to drive among the inconsiderate, self important users, well beyond what should be required to safely navigate the course. Compared to pre-cell days, the cars are at least twice as good, the drivers for the most part barely present. It is to the point where autonomous cars would be a plus in my book, and I truly love driving. I have millions of miles under my belt, & can survive out there, but it is still damn annoying.
Anything that takes the cellphones out of drivers hands works for me. I hear all the anger; talking to a passenger, or whatever is just as distracting. Frankly the only thing I can think of that is as distracting is; excessive alcohol consumption.
I too can see the Fios and cable enabled buildings from my front lawn, I can see the interstate from my backdoor. My speed tests on a good day are 2.75 mbps & .75 mbps, and unfortunately good days aren't that frequent.
We live in a semi-rural area, with 80 year old copper lines, as our only option. The DSL coverage is spotty, particularly when it rains, the phone just goes away when it rains, For this glorious service, I pay just shy of $90 per month. The will came and go through the motions of fixing it when you report the outage, but next rain it will be back. We love having the internet, it is like having the keys to the greatest library in the world. The phone I could do without, but they won't even sell me naked DSL.
Before we started concerning ourselves with hurting someones feelings. Grow a set and cowboy up. I'm not saying racism doesn't exist, but a little ribbing if far and away from a lynching, or even not being hired or some other serious shit. No one was ever exempt, though some groups like the Poles seem to attract a bit more. In conclusion, you get more of what you dream about, and (less desirably) what you fear. Life goes where the thoughts guide it.
"Please note that the article refers to the "U.S. Chamber of Commerce", which is nothing more than a lobby for big business. No relation to a local Chamber of Commerce."
No the local Chamber of Commerce is a lobby for local business.
An adjective used in hip-hop culture a combination of the words "true" and "real".

I've given up on inkjets, just too much bother. I'm all about B&W laser at the moment. i just take my colored printing to my discount club and use their setup. Cheaper and better in the long run. I did try the giant ink tanks mounted outside of the inkjet, and that worked surprisingly well. What I have not considered is bending over for the printer overlords.
There has been very little music in the last 10 years that has been worth listening to, let alone copying. They are heading toward security through obscurity. Like pro sports every leak they plug makes them that less relevant, and will eventually lead to their demise. When a new form of entertainment comes on the scene, they give it away to try for some market share, as it matures they can monetize it. The trick is to realize that you can take that too far. A few leaks need to be tolerated.
Alzheimer edition please; I need it to let me know when I've left the water running in the cows water dish or an important gate unlatched, maybe even the car idling in the driveway.
Yes if ABC Saddle and Buggy whip had become ABC Tire and Battery, they could not only have survived, but perhaps ruled the space. They did already have infrastructure.
I'd agree on those concerns, let's just hope it does turn out to be the same old T-Mobile, but with better infrastructure. I personally would not have a cell without them. It simply isn't important enough to justify a monthly bill. I bought a 1000 minute Prepaid sim and recharge it yearly. Granted my plan wouldn't last a 17 year old a month, but is suits my needs perfectly. Not certain what I'd do if that option went away.
