You see, the problem here isn't what people believe to be true or not, it's actually copyright. If the original creator of slender man had easy tools to prevent fans from building on his work, then obviously there would be no stories on Creepypasta and as such, none of this would have happened.
We need to immediately improve the copyright industry's control on the internet, for the children.
Re: Re: Personal Computers Come With NSA Surveillance Devices Built-In
Ok, that just provided a scary thought. What if it's not GHCQ/NSA have something on those systems. What if they know about something China placed on the chips that GHCQ/NSA know about but don't mention to the public because they are taking advantage of it too, and/or don't stop so as not to tip off to China that they know about it. They may then be destroying those chips because those computers had sensitive info on them at one point and want to prevent that info from being able to be spread by whatever is wrong with those chips?
I figure if the politicians start losing campaign contributions because people can't find their websites, it'll change fast. Nothing hurts a politician like losing money.
I think the quickest way to get this fixed is for google to take a scorched earth approach. If you file to have info removed, in an over abundance of caution, in those countries where this applies, no search results containing your name will appear. That way they can argue that it is safer for google legally since they don't regulate what is on the net. This will last until the politicians realize now no one can google their election site and that the public then knows that they had something they wanted to hide. Then the law will change fast.
So, Chicago has cleared all current crime backlog and now has time and resources to throw at non existent crime? Maybe they should be sharing the secret of their success.

Re: Solution: Burn the computer and get another from a safe vendor
Is it amazon that is the problem, or was it diverted by USPS after leaving Amazon. Amazon may not have had anything to do with it. Perhaps packages being sent to her are being inspected waiting on a computer to be ordered and a chance for this to happen. The last time I ordered a computer by mail it came in a box that indicated that it was from a computer company (basically the box the computer was packed in with a shipping label on it). It wouldn't be hard to notice those and divert the shipment.
Who needs the weather channel on Direct TV to warn of dangerous weather. I have had Direct and Dish, and I've never experienced dangerous weather that did not completely kill the signal I was receiving, rendering it impossible to watch the weather channel. Perhaps their argument may work for land based television providers, but I don't see it holding much over my head as far as satellite.
Wait. One of their suggestions, "do you wanna", contains one of the restricted words, "You". Even they can't suggest titles for the game that don't violate their trademark based on their reading.
Good job. We'd hate for there to be something out in the public consciousness that might make people want to watch our show. Send out the lawyers, make it so the show appears to never have existed.
