I recently bought a collected edition of the comic Existence 2.0/3.0 (published by Image), and it had a pretty funny error, too, though this one was a little worse yet not quite as funny. On the inside flap it says, "No part of this publication ... without the express written permission of [Creator]." I got a minor chuckle out of it.
Mike, considering the Facebook people are getting a Pakistani death sentence, I would consider you also not plan any trips to Pakistan in the near future.
Well, I don't really have a dog in the fight, but I'll say that there certainly are some SB locations that are known as not particularly friendly, the good ones (one of which I luckily worked at) would not have cared one bit. Obviously it depends a lot on the manager, though.
Exactly. There were even people that worked with me there that would go to the coffee shop next door after their shift to do schoolwork on their laptops.
I actually used to work at Starbucks a while back, and it always baffled me why they didn't offer free wi-fi. Their whole mission, basically, was to give people a place to hang out. A place to come and stay and talk/work/drink coffee/etc. Non-free wi-fi directly and actively contradicted that goal.
It's funny that for "Twitter-haters," it seems like the standard argument they fall back on is, "I don't feel the need to tell everybody every time I go to the bathroom" (I've heard Lars Ulrich, among others make that statement).
Whenever I hear someone say that, I think "You know it can be used for other things, right?"
I would love to see a copy of the letter they use for this announcement. I'm sure it goes something like, "Though we can assure you we collected no pictures of a sensitive nature, the court has ruled that we are required to alert you to the existence of these harmless photos."

Mike, are you sure it wasn't you unleashing your own legion of hackers? Be honest.

You would think that this is something that Comcast would have caught a lot earlier....
Yeah, well, you could say that about pretty much anything pertaining to Comcast.
