When I read this and watched the video no one had commented yet. I just could not at that time because I had feelings of serious hate towards them. I am not a minority nor am I some bleeding heart but watching this video made me so mad that ANYONE in the country would be treated in that manner no matter the circumstances that I really wanted to blast them.
I am not aware of their day to day job or the stresses involved but there simply is not excuse for the way another human being is being treated.
Simple answer these officers should be fired. If not then the police chief should be fired then the officers. Anything less is just not acceptable. Time to send a message to police they are not the power they are allowed by us to exercise certain powers we grant them to serve and protect us. That is it.
Well maybe...But there are other ways of tracking you. OnStar? Have we heard a word from the Government bailed out company GM about what they do or do not provide to the government about tracking info? The NSA might be all up in their DBs finding data.
Don't forget traffic cams, or highway traffic cams, or the billion other cameras that are tracking your movements that the NSA has found some way to tap in to.
1984 was a fantasy. The reality is a bit more detailed.
The AC "Anonymous Cop" has points of thought that should be considered if only to contrast.
The fact is this: Freedom of speech is and always should be a right!!! Period. Let him say what he wants and let others do the same. They, even when very, very wrong can inform and create new insight.
Washington is about gaining power not about representing the people that elected you. So the people elected only need to balance 2 points. What gains them power in Washington and what gets them re-elected. Nominations are not part of that equation.
So it seems that Bush was the pre-vanguard 1984 monitoring president. And Obama is a president that found good info in being a government that always and monitors...everything.
Elect those people you want, but enjoy the benefits and consequences of that choice.
Turn off that stupid, vapid reality tv show and find a way to understand what they want to do to you and your family. Or complain never again. You choice with or without information is your choice. But understand if enough uninformed people agree then the US becomes the USSR.
I hope thought that he wins. Also DOTCOM is a dumb ass for asking for so little. If he was suing somebody in America he would be asking for 100-1000 times actual damage. So in his case asking for the paltry sum near actual cost and damages is just plain bad legal strategy.
When we allow ourselves to become defined by a fear that is spurious those that feel it their job to protect us from a fear react in a way that is spurious.
So we either grow a set or agree to have them removed.
Thinking that virtual reality is not really reality and that by doing something that could not possibly cause any harm to anyone to express your frustration is OK and legal.
I mean where do they get these ideas. That it is OK to be upset or even GOD FORBID angry because someone treated you unpleasantly.
Next time you just need to write in your diary is only the most vague terms that people are upsetting you and that you are sad by this, otherwise you will be upset by the amount of time you spend in jail.
Much easier to ask for forgiveness than permission
I am so sad that more people are just not that upset by all these revelations. Why is there not protests in the streets all over the world about this but they feel the world should stop because one dumb ass police officer arrested a person of race in a questionable situation.
The NSA (aka Big Brother) is aware of this. They know that if they can feed enough BS to obfuscate the whole situation to the American people it will all just go away, in time.
