Of course it is later found that all modern computer technology was really copied from the space craft that has been hidden in area 51. The aliens upon finding this out drag Earth into a patent lawsuit ending with everything in the known universe now belonging to the sleazy lawyers who started this.
I think that is indeed the strategy. You write it up like that so when the guy reads it at the patent office he can only get three lines in before stamping it and moving on.
The only way people get these crazy stupid patents is by taking something so simple a two year old can understand it and writing out a description of it in such a way that it takes 3 lawyers half a year to decipher.
Well of course we are all criminals. Our stupid legal system makes it hard to make it till lunch without having committed some felony.
It also sickens me though that in the US pretty much anything to do with drugs is a felony. Felons cannot run for president. So how is it we always have presidents that have no problem telling everyone they tried drugs when they were younger?
If our legal system actually enforced the laws 100% then we would not be able to elect a new president. NO ONE lives in the USA and has made it to 35 without committing a felony. They might not have been convicted of it, BUT they have committed one.
When you have people on staff that can make it look like "Star Wars" has never made a profit then making it look like 2 is greater than 90,000 is a walk in the park.
I think the big issue here is that the population grew too complacent. Things were "going well" so most of the population began to ignore politics. As a result the politicians have become bold thinking they can do whatever they want. Trouble is that once the politicians started to stomp on peoples toes suddenly they find people are starting to pay attention again.
Think about how stupid a statement you just made. You are breaking other countries laws all the time. What if one day China wants you sent there to be tried for one of these crimes. I guess then you will just say "Opps, I didn't know they would try to extradite me"
Indeed our actions do have legal consequences. You know what else has consequences? When the government goes rouge and ignores the will of the citizens!
I just love watching these groups trying to go after people like O'Dwyer. It is sad to see his life being destroyed, but it is bringing to light just how screwed up this system is. The more people who see this happening the sooner the system falls.
You can't expect to do something that 90% of the population thinks is wrong and it not have consequences.
Well, The thing that is yet to be seen is that when the bull charged in everyone jumped out of the way not knowing WTF was going on. Now that everyone is realizing there is a mad bull in the shop how long before someone gets the rifle to put him down?
You really should come visit the south eastern United States if you have never seen such a sign. You will find them all over the place down here in "The Bible Belt".
Well, I guess really what it comes down to is I am very proud to be American. I'm proud of what this nation is supposed to be. Along with that I will gladly fight and die for this country if it comes to that.
Now an important point to make is I will NOT fight and die for the government in its current form. I am loyal to my country not to the corrupt government that now runs it.
Well, We may have been "a-bunch-of-useless-colonies" for a while. We then became the most powerful nation in the world.
Of course sadly we have now slipped back into the "useless" category. I must say, it is very conflicting being an American, I am extremely proud of what this nation once was and the principles it was built upon, but I am now disgusted when I look at what it has become and how far we have strayed from those principles.
I don't know about hilarity. As much as all those groups love screwing people, both figuratively and in a lot of cases quite literally, it sounds more likely to be a bad porno than a comedy.
These people just never cease to amaze me. They are acting like a little kid who got his hand smacked for reaching into the cookie jar. They are now trying to run to Daddy with the sad "Mommy hit me" sob story.
Really I for one hope he keeps going. I have been getting a great amount of entertainment out of watching him shoot himself in the foot. The really funny part is that most people when they shoot themselves in the foot normally do not get mad and grab progressively bigger guns to try and fix it.
"It's a smart move by Google, but it does make you wonder if even having that trigger will now lead to being cut off."
I question if this is not exactly the kind of thing China might want. The search engine constantly reminding people all over China "Hey, You better behave, We are watching you."
