I'm 61 and recently got the camera up my butt and with the drugs they gave me I don't even remember it happening. My doctor sticks his finger in there every year during my physical. Not exactly enjoyable (guys of a different persuasion might think so) but not exactly painful either. What this guy suffered was embarrassment and inconvenience. That is not to say the officers should not be fired for being complete idiots and the doctors who helped them severely disciplined by their boards. How exactly did the dog alert? Did he just seem to spend a little extra time sniffing the seat or did he go crazy ripping it apart? Maybe he just said rutt row.
This guy deserves some compensation but 1.6 million from taxpayers is a bit much. Whatever is paid should come directly out of the pockets of everyone who participated.
For this reason at least some individuals involved in these attacks should face very serious charges from attempted manslaughter or attempted murder. If the victim dies it should be second degree murder. In commission of most felonies when someone dies everyone gets a murder rap right down to the getaway driver and the lookout. On The First 48 they often make suspects believe they are not in as much trouble if they didn't pull the trigger to get these idiots to admit they were there. The detectives watching the video of they interview high five each other when they get these admissions.
These vicious attacks are planned and carried out by groups of people. Everyone seen in the video that are obviously participating should be charged with conspiracy along with the attacker and the cameraman. Striking someone with sufficient force to knock them unconsciousness can result in brain damage or death. People this sociopathic that they would do this just for amusement deserve prison time.
It's not really a bad idea to pass a law very specific to the practice of these knockout videos. Is this guy so dense that he couldn't narrow it to specify that if it can be proved that someone conspired to commit an aggravated assault in any way, including the planning and recording of it they would both face the same charges? It seems to me that this would already be covered by existing laws.
This will work. I have never been a fan of wrestling but I have known a lot of guys that are. Back in the 80's I had a 10 foot dish and the local cable company did not offer any pay per view. 5 or 6 guys I worked with would pool their money for me order events and come over to my place to watch events. The cost was usually about $50 so this shows that wrestling fans are willing to pay. Figuring in inflation that would probably be like $100 today.
I am pretty much a novice and I was just wondering; I use Jdownloader and it shows up in Task Manager as Java(TM) Platform SE Binary (32 bit). I use Firefox with Ad Block and DoNotTrackMe and I have the Java add on turned off. Is Jdownloader risky to use? By the way, DoNotTrackMe says there 9 trackers at this site. Google+1, Facebook Connect, Google Analytics, Twitter Badge, Reinvigorate, Comscore Beacon, Quancast, ChartBeat and ShareThis. WTF?
I have read that because of the FBI shifting all their resources after 9/11 for several years child porn also flourished with thousands of "Lolita" and "preteen" sites going unchecked for years. It has probably been more Google's efforts to report these sites that most of that has been curbed than any efforts by the FBI. Using Windows Explorer which had no Ad Block in the early 2000's It was not unusual to get pop ups boldly advertizing these sites while clicking on sites that had absolutely nothing to do with any kind of pornography.
WOW! In my sophomore year of high school I bullshitted my way through a report in one weekend that we were given 6 weeks to write. I picked a subject that I knew the teacher would have little knowledge of. I faked all the references but named recognized publications. For my careful counterfeit I received a B. This was in the 60's long before you could copy past Wikipedia and reword it so automated programs that some teachers use won't catch it. A smart ass report like this would have been in the trash by the second paragraph.
This guy is just nuts and fun to read about. Fred Phelps is nuts and an evil son of a bitch who likes to torment grieving families. I find the thought of two guys humping repugnant but I say live and let live. Let them get married, I don't care. But anyone who obsesses about gays as much as Fred Phelps has some suppressed homosexual feelings he is hiding. The man doth protest too much.
So the government set explosives in the towers and recruited 19 Islamic hijackers willing to die to help the US come up with an excuse to start a war. Yeah, that's the ticket! As far as conspiracy theories go, that is about the nuttiest. Even without 9/11 Bush would have pushed his weapons of mass destruction bullshit and we would have still gone to war.
The only conspiracy I have ever really believed was the JFK assassination. It was a mob hit because they helped him get elected and he appointed Bobby attorney general and he went after the mob bosses.
A few programs I saw about the moon conspiracy almost had me going until I did some research and saw several other documentaries that debunked it. We were so afraid the Russians would get there first and set up missile bases that I could almost see some reasoning to for a conspiracy. Did they fake it? I don't think so.
Our government has done some bad things but if you really think 9/11 was carried out by them you are ready for the tin foil hat brigade! Bet you believe we didn't land on the moon and there are alien spaceships at area 51.
And the NSA spooks are probably tracking every donation and adding them to the naughty list. Don't be surprised next time you want to go somewhere and find yourself on the no fly list and subject to anal searches.
Did they find any like this? Dear Santa; I have been a good boy. Please bring me 5 pounds of C4, 6 55 gallon drums of fertilizer and fuel oil. Also please don't forget the nitro and blasting caps. Thank you; Muhammad
What idiots! They are looking for terrorists everywhere that they are not. I thought the online gaming infiltration was ridiculous but this really shows the spooks are paranoid!
Seems like when news like this comes out it turns out that the corruption goes well up the chain of command like in past years in Los Angeles. I have like in the Wichita KS. for most my life and I have never seen abuse like tolerated or defended by our police department. A few who have stepped over the line faced the consequences even prosecution. I have also seen cops here who acted properly be criticized. A while back an incident was caught on surveillance cameras where a burglary suspect fired a shot at an officer and instead of firing back the continued the pursuit and only when the perp turned around and pointed his gun the and ignored commands to drop the weapon the cop fired and shot and killed him. Even though he gave this guy every chance some criticized him for not shooting him in the leg or something. All police are trained to shoot center of mass when faced with imminent danger to themselves or others.
Pisses me off that good cops are vilified because of thugs like these when they do use a justifiable amount of force on some who resists and is actually whacked out on PCP or meth or drunk or even just too large and strong. Nothing about this guy fits that description. He was not on drugs and only weighed 135 pounds and did not appear to be offering much resistance. If you watch Cops regularly you will see that sometimes it does sometimes take more than one cop to subdue a suspect when they resist.
