Oh, you want some GOOD legal advise? Don't do anything to get pulled over in the first place. This country is in a downward spiral in regards to the Constitutional Bill of Rights lately. I'm not one of the sheeple that just roll over when told to.
Keep your cellphone locked. If the officer asks for your phone, give it to him. If he asks you to unlock it for him, ask to see the search warrant. If you're asked to get out of your vehicle, immediatly close and lock the door. Again, if he asks for the keys, ask for the search warrant.
I haven't gone through the "pat-down" charade yet, but being a "brig chaser" in the Military, I've done plenty of pat-downs. I can't wait for them to do that, then I can tell them EVERYTHING they did wrong.
Another of my favorites are the "pat-downs" you get at amusement parks or stadiums. I just have to laugh at those. I could strap an M-16 on my back and get through those.
As of this filing, the District Court Motion has not been ruled upon despite Righthaven’s express request the district court do so on or before September 14, 2011.
Dated this 27th day of September, 2011...
On a ruling where they had until the 14th of September to pay??? Am I reading this right?
Yep. As long as you're not interfering with the officer's duties, it should be fine. If a cop is arresting someone, you should be able to record him from across the street.
As far as a "Cop-mounted camera" they have dash-cams in all the police cars. That's why they ALWAYS perform thier actions in front of the vehicles.
With the amount of traffic cams, ATM Cams, and other security cameras that are out there, we're already having all of our "actions" recorded. Have a cell phone? Guess what? Your movement is recorded. Even if you turn off GPS, they still know what tower you're connected to and can "locate" you that way.
We should just go back to the old days of the game randomly asking you to go to page 23 and enter the 5th word on the 2nd line of the 4th paragraph of the User Manual. If you didn't, the game would exit and you'd lose any unsaved progress. (and no, you couldn't back out and do a save.)
Anyone still have their user manuals anymore? In fact, I don't think games come with printed manuals anymore. Everything is online.
"n [sic] a hearing last December, Cook County Assistant State Attorney Jeff Allen invoked homeland security, arguing that Drew's recording could have picked up police discussing anti-terrorism tactics. Drew's case was suspended after he was diagnosed with lung cancer earlier this year."
If the police are discussing anti-terrorism tactics out in the open, we have a bigger problem...public is just that, PUBLIC. You shouldn't have any expectations of privacy. Especially if you're a "public servant".
Now we know that at $500, buyers walk away from the deal. But at $100, they literally rush the store like Walmart on Black Friday. This tells us that the correct price for a good tablet with weak developer support is between $100 and $500. That's a fairly wide range. I wish HP had set the price higher, to provide a better test.
Just start checking amazon and ebay for HP Tablets. I'm sure that's where they're going to all end up. You'll find the real price there.
Someone needs to show this woman where the block user button is. That's the reason there were laws made for calling/sending mail. There's no way to block them without outside assistance from the phone company/postal service.
With ANY public forum, there's always a report and/or ignore feature. Learn to use them.
Well, yes and no. Society did fine without cellphones because pay phones were everywhere. Now that everyone has a cell phone, there's no use for pay phones now.
I assume there are still "Emergency phones" in the BART stations that you can get to in case there is an actual emergency. If cell phone service had to be shut off for any reason, I'm sure that place will be crawling with officers anyway...
The voicemail was indeed "free" If you wanted to access your voicemail without using your precious minutes, you'd either use your land line, or call during "off-peak" aka free nights and weekends.
As far as shortening the prompts, you can type in commands at any time during message playback. If I wanted to delete a message without listening to it, that's 337. (33 = forward to end, 7 = delete message.)
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to navigate a voicemail system.
