'Art' is a subject thing. What you consider art (A photo of a brick wall?) I might consider to be a waste of resources and time. It isn't for you to tell me what art is, and vice versa.

'What I'm having trouble understanding is why this is a criminal operation, rather than a civil operation. Anyone who felt they were wronged by the site could have filed a civil suit. '
How is it a criminal offense? That hasn't been explained, either. I believe that question was posed, first, so you're still at bat, sir.
Infringement can only be found in a court, usually during a civil action. Child porn is illegal without question. Do you see the difference?
Substituting something that is an infringement of civil law for something that is an infringement of criminal law breaks your arguments, but anyone that points that out is an apologist, right?
You know how banks 'negotiate' their policies? Don't like their policy, use a different bank. If the customer signed the policy, then yes. It was the customer's policy, too.
As to banks 'allowing' stolen credentials to be used, how are they to know they were stolen? Pixie dust?
Texas and Indiana have similar laws. Yes, you can and will get a ticket for running a yellow unless you're already in the intersection or 'at the point of no return,' as judged by the police. Not you.
Service does not need to be rendered by the lawyer, themselves. There are these people called 'process servers' who are hired on to do just that, though it'll cost them a pretty penny to send out that many summons.
Irradiated with infrared? Dude... a little extra heat isn't going to bother you, unless those ice cold theaters are your idea of a perfect temperature.
Seems to me to be a fundamental misunderstanding of what it means to protest. If you give in, you are not protesting. If they mete out violence for peaceful protest (note: only one actively resisting, but more than one being drug to the floor?), then I cannot ever agree with you.
Standing for first amendment rights has you labeling them as immature, and that is where the contentiousness seems to come.
