Police ticket you for speeding for the single instance when you went by them, not for being a person who speeds. These drivers are not criminals when going by the police if they're not speeding when going by the police.
If the people aren't speeding when they go by the speed traps, how are they 'criminals'? He's directing people to not break the law, albeit at a specific location.

You should try arguing that unauthorized copying takes money from the creator in the same way that printing more currency is essentially a tax. It doesn't directly take money from the creator, but it dilutes the value of his bargaining chip when he tries to exchange it in the market.

The most obvious route, of course, is cell phone data coverage. They can still use these things through their phones, and I'm sure many of them already are. I would also guess that students at a Science and Technology school would be more capable of technical means to bypass blocks.
