It is clear that ASCAP and other others are in this not as they say but for their own ends.
I meet many bands in my worktalk to many artists. I have foir a while been helping one band get some of their material recorded and they are a good band female rock band nothing released yet but when they have about 10 or so tracks down they will release. I suggested they send to a record lable their reply was "no way will we EVER sign with one of those restrictive money grabing let down contract tying bunch of retards" their words not mine. I suggested an indie lable and the answear was the same. and as to ASCAP PPL RIAA etc they said "we dont want them to even touch our music we want people to be free to listen and pass on we can make money from concerts the more who hear our music and like it the more will come and pay to see us play even if we were famous the music should be free" again their words not mine.
They had never heard of techdirt until then cause i ask them. that why i take them in a studio i use for free and work with them on protools.
any computer can use a modern Tv as a monitor once you have that video in the Tv it can then be taken to any recording device. Dont see how the suits can put another genie back in the bottle. (not that they have so far)
personally i beleave the Hollands and do not think they should change their sign.
Any one who thinks Harrods is in essex are truely morons.
the name is differant i have yet to meet someone who complained that they wanted to go to Holland and got taken to harrods or vice versa.
harrods should be told to stick it where the sun dont shine as to copyright er can you claim copyright over someones family name dont think so.
Re: Re: Re: cleare : re Beatles Revolution// So I could purchase your download, and then give it away to everyone for free, and that's okay?
Actually you are worng in some context. I can record your music and if i felt inclined copy that to the radio station to play on air. but of course you wouldnt mind that as being in the uk you get paid every time i played it.
That somehow the public will be allowed to say whivh bills are to be repealed maybe on a web site I have no more details at the moment
Mr Clegg, who is overseeing the government's political reform plans, said he wanted to "transform our politics so the state has far less control over you, and you have far more control over the state".
PROPOSED REFORMS
Partially elected House of Lords
Scrapping the ID card scheme and the national identity register
Libel to be reviewed to protect freedom of speech
Limits on the rights to peaceful protest to be removed
Scrapping the ContactPoint database of 11 million under-18s
Cameron hails 'new start' for MPs
Tories haven't sold out, says May
This would include scrapping the ID card scheme and accompanying National Identity Register, all future biometric passports and the children's Contact Point Database. It would also ensure CCTV was "properly regulated" in future and the storage of innocent people's DNA restricted.
Mr Clegg said: "Britain was once the cradle of modern democracy. We are now, on some measures, the most centralised country in Europe, bar Malta."
The deputy prime minister promised to give voters powers to "recall" corrupt MPs and for an elected House of Lords, based on a "proportional" voting system.
He promised to ask the public "which laws you think should go" as they "tear through the statute book".
Mr Clegg added: "This government is going to persuade you to put your faith in politics once again."
He said differences between the Lib Dems and Conservatives were "almost impossible to spot" when it came to wanting to decentralise power.
He added: "We don't, unlike Labour, believe that change in our society must be forced from the centre. Unlike the previous Labour government, we're not insecure about relinquishing control." for further information
It used to be the case that the latest movies were shipped to troops on active service FREE NO CHARGE COST ZERO. Because the industry were PATRIATES Now they are a bunch of money sucking scum buckets. and traitors each and every one.
So under this rule a recoeding company puts this restrition on say an album. nnw Radio stations run mainly from mp3s stored on servers that link to a broadcast playout program (the station i work for has a licence to copy and store 30,000 tracks) which are changed often. now if this was to be the case I do not beleave that a musician would be too pleased that we could not use his work. this also means we could not use the actual CD. until it was defined weather a broadcast was a copy of the work. see how stupid it gets.
