“Facebook is legally required to tell you that the Singapore government says this post has false information,” said the notice, which is visible only to Singapore users.
Until next week when the Singapore government figures out that their residents can view "fake news" by VPN or leaving the country. Then they will demand that the notice be applied globally.
Re: Telling people you're terrible in one simple step
Any time someone tries to gag customers from giving their opinion on a product/service the default assumption should always be that it's because they are offering a garbage product/service, know it, and are trying to prevent people from finding out.
A third potentially invasive feature referenced in the Ring documents is the addition of a “proactive suspect matching” feature, described in a manner that strongly suggests the ability to automatically identify people suspected of criminal behavior — again, whether by police, Ring customers, or both is unclear — based on algorithmically monitored home surveillance footage.
Wait...this sounds remarkably similar ro predictive policing algorithms.

So how is CNN responsible for quoting what Lev Parnas's lawyers told them? All CNN did is accurately quote what they were told, and who told them.

Start by suing the person who made the supposed lies, not the media agency quoting that person in the course of reporting on it.

Nothing like Devin Nunes inflating the value of his reputation by a factor of one million.
Personally, I think his reputation is worth 5 cents...give or take 4.
