I am not a conspiracy crazy, but the gestapo and the secret police did not happen over night. They started by monitoring people first. Check your history.
Just a thought exercise. During your normal day how often do you think someone somewhere can NOT find out where you are? Think about it, really think about it.
Do I think that we are on the verge of being a police state, no. But I think that we have allowed ourselves to be subjected to too much in terms of loss of privacy.
Everyday you can read here and many other sites and see where we have failed to fight the erosion of our privacy. Failed to fight the erosion of our rights.
I am not out there when I worry that I can be put in prison for 75 years because I videoed a police officer in public doing something, anything. When I worry that the government will be able to access information they should not be able to without a court order, but they can.
I am not out there because this worries me. Government should only have exactly the powers we let it have. It should not be able to decide for itself what it can or can not do. It should only perform those duties that we have with full knowledge allowed it to do.
The slippery slope is not only in the passing of laws but in the abdication of those freedoms that are on the surface still there but have long been superseded.
I agree with your idea. In the end how do we know if your not being tracked everywhere and that the government isn't then behind everyone's back hacking those systems to get the data? They have done it in the past.
I have nothing to hide but the thought of someone tracking me just makes me scream. Why, because history teaches that that will always be used to control us.
Actually, I would beat your A$$ if I think it could save 100 lives. But only if I knew before that you had info and could back that assumption up with hard info.
Or just accept that we are prisoners of the ruling class. Sorry not trying to use inflammatory language but the ruling class is those that make and enforce the laws.
Me too. No matter whether I agree with your position. In my country you will always be able to express it in any way that is non-violent. Yell, scream, talk through a bull-horn. I don't care because that is your RIGHT as a citizen of the US.
Freedom of speech was such an important tenet of the idea in the creation of America they made it the first right!!!!!
First Amendment – Establishment Clause, Free Exercise Clause; freedom of speech, of the press, and of assembly; right to petition
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
So why should any law be made or be allowed to be made that makes it illegal to video them in any situation doing their duty?
We are recorded all the time just living our normal lives. I can share over 10,000 links to police stopping people from video recording their actions in what should be a 100% (no grey area) legal situation.
Even at the height of the communist regime in Russia they didn't arrest people most times. They just took the video recording device.
Why are we letting our country become a police state?
Look at these statistics if you think I am wrong about the available options to clear your business's name. Just look at the top 2 lines. Does anyone really believe that?
Anyone that has a small amount of intelligence has seen over the years the plain junk on the BBB.
Do a search on their website for work at home and then search on Google or Bing for reviews of any company that shows up. The BBB lets any company that pays get special treatment that involves erasing bad comments if the company responds to any complaint. They don't have to fix the issue just respond.
Additionally, those complaints don't reflect in the company's overall rating.
I choose to believe that what you state as a statement of reality is in itself a distortion of what we will believe is the actual reality of our consequences of not seeing reality as it is.
Re: "Short selling" is on FUTURES, not on already owned stock.
By the way Futures values are based on actual value of the underlying commodities. Stock values are based on the "Greater fool theory" in which you hope that a greater fool than you will value the stock more than you. There is not a stock that is actually valued at the empirical value of "assets-liabilities= value."

Just one example
http://www.teaparty.org/article.php?id=1247
Police should not feel any threat to being videoed nor should they be allowed to do anything they don't want recorded.
The video from OccupyWallSt.org at http://youtu.be/jYaA-34c-vI just shows my point.
