The person they arrested should immediately file a federal and state suit for false arrest, false imprisonment, and other civil rights violations. Let's see how long their attitude toward the Constitution remains as it is when they are hit with a multi-million dollar judgement!
Eee Gads! This is an international society. If you work for a major corporation, you email internationally all the time! I have family that is scattered all over the globe, and email many of them frequently - I suppose I am a "prime suspect"? So, I have two strikes: one is that I work for an international tier-one company with offices in most countries in the world, and since I am a senior engineer, I email many of them frequently. Two, I have family in Mexico, South America, Russia, Spain, and Australia... I guess I should just wait for the "knock on the door".
What used to be 7 degrees of separation should probably now be about 5 - everyone is connected. FWIW, I was only 1 degree separated from former/late President Nixon, and I am 0 degrees separated from many Nobel Prize winners, including Linus Pauling.
And then there is Obama and his gang of thugs. I knew he was a liar when as Senator he first came out against FISA, and then turned right around and voted for the law, mumbling some sop or other about "combating terrorism". What a crock! And to think, that I voted for him, twice! Simply because Romney and all were such sleaze-balls. He is going to go down in history, ignominiously I think, as the President who did more to push our country into becoming a totalitarian state than any other... :-(
Do they ever get prosecuted, or punished? Heck no! They either get promoted, or plush jobs in the "security" industry! It is time we held these farkers accountable for their misdeeds!
Feinstein was a maverick who helped break the "glass ceiling" when she was first elected. Unfortunately, she is now part of that ceiling... :-( Dianne, it is time you retired, or get retired by your constituents - you don't understand the new tech modus, and if you don't, you cannot possibly represent your constituents properly. Hopefully, they will realize, and act upon that.
Putin cleared his throat early on and reminded the US that Russia had no extradition treaty with the US and in general did not extradite people. Packing Snowden off because the US asked for him was not on the table. Putin took the position that the Snowden wasn’t worth exploiting for his annoyance value to the US: “It’s like shearing a piglet: a lot of squealing and little wool.”
A very "diplomatic" way of saying "Stick it up your nose!" I think. :-)
I have myself lost all respect for Obama, and I voted for him three times - twice for President, and once in the first primary... Time to give myself a dope slap! I should have voted for Hillary!
1. Create a new party - the Restore The Constitution Party
2. Throw the current crop of bums out of office!
Then, do the following:
1. Repeal FISA and all similar laws.
2. Reduce the scope of the Department of Homeland Security - or just remove it altogether (or at least reduce its funding to $1 per year).
3. Pass a law that restricts the President's ability to use "Executive Orders" to bypass the Congress and Constitution.
Well, since the NSA is hoovering up all phone metadata, I suspect that our Congresstwerps are getting hoovered as well. I'm just waiting for someone to tap into that data trove and start showing just who our "representatives" are conspiring with!
