SO in other words.. it's not so much different than trading copies of cassette tapes or 8-tracks. Something people have done since day-one of the ability to record music..
What gives him the right to put up a paywall and to keep other people out? If God was here, he'd tell it to his face, man you're some kind of corporate goon..
"They could be teaching very young children that pirating is something that authority figures don't want you to do, which means it is something children will LOVE to do. If old people hate it, it must be fun and exciting."
Couldn't be more right about that. You are so right about how well teen pregnancy rates.
And the music industry itself is a *SHINING EXAMPLE* of how 'anti-drug' propaganda works well....
When participants did use the DVR to fast-forward TV ads, nearly half of them paid full attention to the screen during that process. Fast-forwarded ads had 12% more attention levels than non-fast-forwarded ads.
Oh and that's 100% true....
I do slow down and even rewind some if they are of interest. Tampon commercials will never be of interest to me. Nor will pharma crap. I take pills that my doctor thinks I need, not crap I see on TV. I AVOID pharma I see on TV.
So, if it's your credit card on PSN, Sony doesn't give a shit about protecting info from the hackers. But if it's theirs precious "feature," they protect it like ICBM silo.
Good observation.
Reasons I avoid Cd's from Sony is the potential of rootkits.
And yep:
Sony has come down to the gift that keeps on giving. More and more Sony products seem to have major issues. Pretty soon at this rate, Sony won't have to worry about piracy. They may have to worry about customers.
I do have a Sony TV and Camcorder, but the more Sony acts like this - the more I'm thinking about buying Hardware elsewhere...
See Mr. Dentist - you may not want customers who base their decision to go to a doctor solely on a web review.
Case in point here:
I was referred to a surgeon by my family doctor, who I trust. I read a couple reviews on this surgeon and in said reviews, one had commented that he was cold, uncaring, didn't explain things, was arrogant and had a bad bed-side manner.
I was cynical of the review, I trust my family doctor's *professional opinion* over the web review.
After meeting the surgeon, I found the review was horribly off; the guy explained everything to me, was very cordial, friendly, and most importantly - he was well experienced.

You need them, because the core service/product is so crappy they have to offer extra protection.
When I bought my dishwasher, they asked about the extra insurance... I asked them if the product was junky enough that it needed it... lol

Embedded YouTube Video right on his front page.

Take my ability to fast forward away on the DVR and guess what? I won't watch the show.
I rarely watch TV as it is now. Don't make it more of a pain in the ass to watch...
Days of hours and hours of stupid shows that are supported by inane commercials are over for me. DVR restrictions or not.

Plus, the whole "if you have nothing to hide" concept is the complete antithesis of "Innocent until proven guilty".
So a better response is this: "If you have no probable cause, I have nothing to show you".
