First off is facebook's claim
Facebook is not, nor have they ever been a tech company. They have a collection of spaghetti code that That Zucker urged them to break on a regular basis.
I would suggest that Mr. Wheeler spend a week in the moderators box. Just watch for at least a day or two.
Then, he can code up a few lines to moderate the miniscule slice of content that he saw.
Maybe nobody in Congress is supportive of That Zucker. But Trump is. Ever since Elizabeth Warren and the young pack of legislators started talking about taxing the rich.
That Zucker's wealth has increase by $100B this century. He wants to keep every dime of it. Regardless of the condition of our country.

The targets aren't very different
Just take a breath. Both PS5 and Xbox whatever run on AMD Application SOC, the delta between their choices are not very significant. Granted there will be fine tuning required, but most of that is handled in libraries anyway.
The differences between them and a PC is also minimal. Either way, it will happen as it does, and PS5s will get the games.

America restrained?
"who are not quite as restrained in their investigations, renditions, or killings"
Really. As referenced with our extrajudicial killings (meaning illegal to be somewhat more frank about it) how could anyone be measured more or less versus us hitting someone from a drone with no judicial review or authority.

Re: Umm
So, you aren't a programmer?
Code is written in a text editor, or a IDE (like Visual Studio), which is then converted to a form to work in the environment.
The fallacy (IMO) is the claim that they are requiring programmers to write specific code.
The regulations aren't doing that, they are regulating what is acquired and how it is shared. However anyone solves that problem is their own problem. Their solution (in code) is the written expression of how they solved the problem and is 1st Amend protected.

Re: Re: Time to drop "Generation" marketing?
My wife retired from the electronic instrument manufacturing business (finally). When 5G was being spread about I asked her re is it better?
No! It's just a rebranding of 4G variants. And a bad one. There is no long distance connects, everything has to be within some short distance (1000ft?). So cell sites everywhere (there goes the cancer fighting benefits). And everyone has to fall back to 4G anyway since they will rarely get 5G connections that are adequate for today's users.
Her additional comment: 5G might have been an adequate upgrade for consumers that were on 3G or earlier. Which is nobody today.

Love the joke, ignore the conservatives
Claiming
A: Twitter is censoring
B: Twitter must stop censoring conservative speech
While not understanding the difference between the government restricting free speech and a private business running its business, typical Trumpette.
Then to claim Federal Gov should take over whether Twitter blocks/bans people/posts on their site, wow. Just imagine how nice that would be; The Dems rule the House. They stand a solid chance of getting the Senate, and the presidency. So, that would mean (slowly now, or the Trumpette will get lost) the Democrats would be the one deciding who Twitter should ban and/or block.
Funny! Although admittedly, Trumpettes are the world's worst joke.

Yes, RMS is chopped liver.
He used the cleaver on himself, repeatedly, and like many in traditional business hierarchies he was focused on getting press for other people's work. See: GNU/Linux.

How much simpler this could be
Let them fight it out, wolf style.
Or, we could remove the state from the equation. As infringement of copyright shouldn't be a criminal infraction, as it is solely (souly awooo, if you're a wolf) a profit based complaint.

Okay, it isn't a great answer, but that is the case with YouTube, and Google both. Check out Google's fumbling around on ... well damn, techdirt pages.
