If this was anyone else, especially you or me, we'd be looking at jail time!!! This is just yet something else being a CLINTON gets you off scot free. Not that I expected anything different, especially with OBAMA in office. He's letting Cuba and Iran to continue doing the same things and get millions in American money!!! Flat out breaking rules, doesn't matter.
Apple does have thousands of workers in that country. In fact they plan to build a huge Datacenter there. I believe it's the only place they're building Apple Computers outside of China.
Wait, there's Slavery in the U.S.? WOW, I didn't know that. Can you point to it? If you want to continually blame your lot in life to slavery from 150 years ago, that's on you. There's REAL slavery now in other country's happening.
Apple didn't create these loopholes. How is it when the fines are being passed out, their HUGE for American company's and a joke for EU company's?
Actually Apple has a whole lot of people there!!! They build computers there I believe and they've been planing to build a huge Data center there. There's a whole lot of Apple employee's working there for Apple.
Really? How about the almost 50% that pay ZERO in federal taxes currently! Tell me, how is that fair?
Apple is playing by the rules. They didn't create the loopholes, but just like you and me, they're not going to over pay taxes just to make others feel good about them. That's just dumb.
What I want to know is, Why is Apple and other company's being TAXED on the money they want to bring back into the U.S.? They made that money selling a product in another country. There should be ZERO tax on that money. Bring the money into the U.S. Apple then spends it on whatever, you TAX the money at that point. It's as dumb as if France charged Apple Taxes of everything sold in the U.S.
Who cares if these company's sold something out of the country, and made a profit, they got taxed in that country and shouldn't be taxed once again just to bring the money into the U.S. Taxing away the profit. That's why the money is not coming back. That's the main reason Apple and Google and everyone else have to play these silly games.
I have to agree. A private company has every right to do whatever it wants. It's NOT Government. Though it would be much better if they made some clear rules on what's allowed and what isn't and then stuck to it where it makes sense to everyone.
People should have dropped Whatsapp as soon as Facebook acquired them!!! Who didn't see this coming? In that sense you were informed in 2014 when Facebook acquired them in what was really going to happen at some point. It doesn't matter at that point what the Developers of Whatsapp say and wanted ass they sold the software and it's no longer theirs. They made a huge bundle of money selling it to Facebook, now you leave just as soon as you can and enjoy life. Facebook will screw it up. Privacy goes right out the Window. I expected nothing less.
You do know the Internet is more then Google and Facebook! Both of which I rarely even use. For searches, I'd rather use DuckDuckGo instead which isn't infested with a ton of Ad's!!!
Facebook I rarely use because why do I want my life up on the Web for some company to profit from? So I have very little info on their and rarely visit. I'm really only there so that I can connect with old friends from 20+ years ago and it's worked for that.
There's also a lot of other options you can use. Maybe put a tiny bit of effort into it and not default to these 2!!! This has nothing to do with Checks and Balances and all about stealing more money from a rich American Company(s).
You mean how Apple will support a iPhone for at least 4 years, while Google only suggests 18 months with Android!!! Considering Google releases security updates for Android every month and only a tiny fraction of Android phones even get them, talking about abandonment!!
I recorded it all on my Antenna. Early morning, Morning, day, Night. Each chunk which may be from a hour to 4 hours or whatever, would show what was in that chunk. If there was something in it I wanted to see like Woman's Beach Volleyball, I'd just FF as the fastest speed scanning it and then I'd watch what I wanted.
I just season Passed the Olympic's. It was simple enough and it recorded everything!!! You could have done the same, but with more then just NBC but their other channels also if you wanted.
Google also showed listings on when whatever event you were interested in were on and what channel. There are ways to do and get what you want, with a DVR skip most of the crap.
Which is where a DVR comes into play. I had my TIVO recording everything and then I looked at each chunk and see if there was something I wanted to watch in that chunk, and then I Fast Forward through most of it. I zipped right on past 90% of it. No sitting though all the crap. I could just watch what I wanted. If I didn't have TIVO or some other DRV, I wouldn't have been able to take it. I can't take it much on normal TV programs either. My Tivo Roamio now has commercial skip on Primetime programs. 1 push of a button and I auto skip the whole commercial block.
I could never handle watching commercials let alone forced to sit through a show at the time they wanted to air it. I just record everything I want to watch. My Tivo has 4 tuners in it meaning it can record up to 4 programs at once. I let it record and I watch something I've already recorded skipping away all the commercials. DVR's, the greatest TV invention ever.
Why shouldn't a swimmer get a 1 million dollar deal? They spend YEARS working hard to swim like they do which costs a great deal of money. It should pay off in the end if you're good. 1 million is nothing.
How about Football players or basketball player. Playing what is basically a game and getting MILLIONS for doing that!! Then they also do commercials on top of that for a lot more money. Do you have a problem with that also and not watch?
I'm not a big sports person. I watch so little of it. You're changes of getting on top where you can get the millions is pretty slim no matter if it's a Swimmer or a basketball player.
I also think it's silly to pay for Netflix, Hulu and Amazon. Almost the same price at that point to just pay for cable TV. As a cord cuter myself, I get most of my TV with a large Antenna, and I have Netflix and Amazon. I only have Amazon really for the free second day shipping. I had them both before I cut the cord 4+ years ago. In fact I don't remember exactly when I last watched something with Amazon Prime. I think it was The Man in the High Castle. I do more Amazon Music if anything. It's mostly Antenna and Netflix.
