Although he's right that giving the trolls here attention just makes them come back for more. We've been pointing out how wrong they are for many years now, and now their posts barely make sense at all. Half the time they're inconherent.
The idea that he has to make $60 million to make it worthwhile is a joke. All he has to do is make a profit - or even take a loss for a while. What he gains is complete control over the streaming and advertising market for games, as well as creating a model he can use to make deals with other teams in other cities. In the long run, that's worth far more than whatever deal broadcasters might give him.
I'm just pointing out, like so many other things on the internet, that Youtube lacks serious competition. Taking your business elsewhere should be the appropriate response.
Some people actually do other things while they listen to podcasts and for that having audio is useful. Not to mention few people would want to read an entire transcript of an audio podcast, which would probably run for dozens of pages. Plus you can stream the podcast without downloading it to your computer and going through all the oh so horrible steps you mention.

Everything you rant about is still there and easy to find - just with a different name. Except Pirate Bay, which is still going strong.
They don't need to control Netflix because licensing a movie to Netflix isn't giving up control. What they can't control is what Netflix pays. Obviously, Netflix isn't a company that just rolls over and gives them whatever they want. They actually have to deal on price and it's not worth it to them - except for a lot of stuff they feel isn't worth bargaining over.
"Starship Troopers" may not be a great adaptation of the book, but it's a pretty great movie - which is much more important than being a great adaptation of a book,

We get it. You don't like podcasts. Thanks for letting the world know. What does that have to do with anything being discussed here?

It's not like podcasts are a new thing.
