SportsNet LA is available on fair terms consistent with its value. Truer words never spoken. After all, the value of SportsNet LA to 70% of Los Angeles consumers is zero! ;D
And then there's the sites with zero availability on mobile (Vimeo again). They don't seem to get that there's no competition where they're not available. Idiots!
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: thank you. being hard of hearing I was already aware
No Google+ = no account = no uploading of vids. Like I said, I'm being prevented from using YouTube in the way I signed up to use it. Google need to be less data-grabby.
Hey, Lightbox et al., I got those apps at the price offered. If I need to use a VPN to firewall them because some of the ads are impacting negatively on my visual issues and no amount of reports has fixed them, that's neither here nor there. I'm not the one responsible for the Disability Impact Assessment fail, after all. :p
Re: Re: Re: Re: thank you. being hard of hearing I was already aware
The issue here is that I'm not being prevented from using YouTube in whatever way I want, I'm being prevented from using it at all. It's getting to the point that I'm now seeking alternatives since some of the revenue from the adverts injected into my emails goes to a service I'm no longer receiving. Google's policy is a total violation of my human right to freedom of speech, and should be cancelled in the UK.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Yes, it does. Sound isn't generated by disturbed air impacting our eardrums, it's generated by the creation of the air disturbance itself. Otherwise, you might as well ask, "If a tree falls in the forest and only a profoundly deaf person is around, does it make a sound?"
Canadian ISP middle management: "Apparently, we're to block illegal gambling websites throughout Quebec, I guess online gambling must be illegal there, so shut 'em all down. Canadian ISP employee: "All of them?" Canadian ISP middle management: "Yes, all of them." (A few hours later)Canadian ISP employee: "Betway - blocked. 888 Poker - blocked. Spin Palace - blocked. And Loto Québec - blocked. There, finally finished."
[...] a simple phone call will likely be enough to fix this [...] You mean Google has actual real humans that can answer phones in its employ? Wow, I never knew that!
