The misunderstanding is in someone, anyone, thinking that they can exercise any degree of control over a photo or comment made online. If you don't expect "people to post it around the internet" then don't post it on the internet.
Re: Re: Re: "At The Box Office", Mike, NOT a cent from pirates!
blue, this is rich coming from the guy who keeps beating his 100 mil movie drum when it has been explained to you in detail multiple times.
You used to have occasional posts that while I didn't agree with them I could at least understand them, but lately you increasingly exhibit many of the negative behaviors you so readily point out in others. This hypocrisy reveals much about your agenda and does little to promote your credibility and cause.
3/10 You would have received 5/10 if you hadn't split your post.
On the positive side, side I could almost feel the spittle bouncing off your screen as you yelled at it.
As stated common sense.
OK so they have a positive hit on a machine now what? Unfortunately it seems those involved were incapable of using common sense and looking at the girl making a determination that she didn't pose a risk in less than an hour. It should have taken 5 minutes max.

This is the cornerstone of the maximalist.
There is no rational thinking involved.

A quick check at WHO reveals they claim in 2011 there were 216 million cases. 600,000 * 365 = 219 million.
I'm guessing the first number is about as accurate as these numbers get.
The half million probably refers to the number of deaths each year.
Makes banning Zen magnets look pretty stupid.

I don't see adding litigation as a solution. This just moves us one step closer to everyone being a criminal.
I believe that the unwillingness of maximalists to give and bend will result in a backlash that ends up with copyright being eliminated.
Unless the maximalists get a sudden dose of reason and start to look at solutions that don't make everyone a criminal they are doomed.
