The actual voting demographic (people who ACTUALLY vote) are older than the demographic of most social media sites. This study respondents will almost certainly fall into the very group of people these political ads should WANT to get into the polling places.
They might think they're being all fancy and hip by using social media to target the political ads, but in reality they're completely disenfranchising an entire generation of voters.
"If China has an extradition treaty, and they indicate you for a crime"
How does one get indicated for a crime? Seems to me that would be entrapment...
On the other hand, if I were INDICTED, I would still have the right to fight the extradition order, and while IANAL, that usually means among the other things already pointed out, that they charging party has to show that they have enough (legally obtained)evidence to support a prima facie case.
What I would like to see happen is that Assange is jailed for his contempt charge, and the Swedish investigators have the capacity to interview him, pending prosecution, and a guarantee of non-extradition to the US from Sweden, at least until his sentence is served in Sweden.
The thing is, Swedish investigators have had basically an open invitation to interview him and have refused to do so. I don't think Sweden has any interest in actually charging him, they just want to get their hands on him so that they can ship him to the US.
If Sweden can't even be bothered to try to make a case to Ecuador as to why Assante should be extradited to face charges, my guess is that the charges themselves are bullshit. But that's just me
I can't answer fully and I don't have time to find the source ATM, but my recollection is that Australia basically washed their hands of the situation and refused to intervene.

I was just going to comment that they're gonna have real issues with this when "Honey Badger" is playing elsewhere since they kicked him out last week...
After all they made the ipod easily visible on the front seat by not making those darned windows both impossible to see through AND easy to break with a rock. I mean, shouldn't they know that this ipod is more important that the safety of the occupants of the car. It's certainly worth more $$$ with all of that damn music on it. Sheesh!
Almost. You would have police officers from Great Britain extradited to the US for suggesting to their citizens that they should remove ipods from plain sight.
Really.. I thought the business model was the way you made money.. if that means selling ice cream with a trip to Africa, that's a business model.
Marketing is a means of differentiating your product. But there's nothing that say those two concepts are mutually exclusive.
Perhaps that kind of thinking is part of why legacy businesses that don't adapt to the marketplace tend to die long, slow, painful deaths.. well, after trying to get laws passed to artificially maintain their idyllic market.
The other BIG issue with LTE or any wireless data is RELIABILITY. I would not want to try to run a home office using LTE until I know that the carriers can guarantee me the 5x9 reliable uptime for data transmission that I get with voice service.
That's a nice thought, except that in the rural areas where they are really pushing customers off DSL, there usually isn't competition beyond the big 2, especially when it comes to wireless data. And in some places, there is NO wireless data available at all, so wireline is the only option, unlass they go to satellite data, which is insanely expensive.
