Just called her assistant Ron and asked what the procedure is for getting my name on that list. When he asked if I want to be sued, I replied, "Sure. I wouldn't mind that publicity". Silence for 40 seconds (I counted).
So he took my info and will give me a call back with the answer of what the process is to get listed on there to drive people to my site. :)
Weird Al is someone who took this idea and ran with it. I paid $125 for seats that were worth $30. Why? Because he added value content (Collectible cards, Signed photo, etc.). It was wonderful as well when during one song, he took off his shirt and there was a T-Shirt that said, "Alantic Records STILL sucks". :)
Sorry if this is a bit off topic. Just had to share. :)
I once worked for a company that wanted me to put in a porn filter on the server. I asked them to please define porn and then I will block it. I didn't hear back. I think they got the point I was trying to make.
So, please correct me if I am wrong.. If it's not allowed to record the cops due to this law, wouldn't it also be not allowed for cops to record people via dash cams? Can't you charge them with the same thing?
No, the URL is not a bad attempt at humor. It's for a LARP I run. :) The video will be safe there until the people who made it tell me to take it down.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: But you're using MTA for *business* travel.
"and the *word* usage is objectionable to me too"
I'm not objecting to there being a limit. Only that if it's advertised as Unlimited, it shouldn't have a limit. It appears you agree with me and from how I read the article, Mike was saying the same thing. Nowhere do I see him saying that they HAVE to offer an unlimited pass, only that if it isn't unlimited, then don't say it is.
Perhaps you should re-read what the article says again as the argument you bring up (which I won't get into due to my limited knowledge on the subject) is a bit off topic. The main thrust of the article (and please correct me if I'm wrong Mike) is the wordage that they use which we can agree is objectionable, not the service it offers.
Re: Re: Re: But you're using MTA for *business* travel.
I rarely reply to ACs (seeing as how usually, they are trolls), but I will fall into said trap this time and see what happens..
Unlimited is Unlimited. Pure and simple. If it isn't unlimited, then they shouldn't call it that. Call it "90 trips a month pass" or "3 trips a day pass".
BTW, the "If it isn't Unlimited, then they shouldn't call it that" is from my 7 year old. :)
Speaking as a web developer, I have been offered stranger contracts before. It's basically a way of people getting web developers, then probably never paying them.
So yes, the contract COULD be legit, but it's not likely.

Nice.. I've gotten at least 1 page hit from putting it up there. Already it's paying off even if Ron tells me that they won't put it up on their site.

Of course, I'm still talking with him about it, but it's going well. At least for a laugh.
