"Microsoft has decided to try to attack Apple by copying where Apple is strongest -- in its walled garden. And, in the process, the company may end up setting off some antitrust alarm bells."
Wouldn't they then be able to turn around and say, "Apple does it as well" and sue Apple on what they just got sued for?/div>
The issue that allow of users have of that site is that they also know the situation with SOPA. Shutting it down would be like preaching to the choir and probably not be noticed by those in power./div>
Perhaps because they DO hire people? I know in Portland, Oregon, the Netflix center hires quite a few people. Much more then a local video store does./div>
I was wondering this myself. I have all my ToS's clicked on by my 8 year old. They are free to try to prove that it was me who installed whatever. :)/div>
He isn't saying brick like "It's not going to work at all".
He's saying brick as in "All I use it for is netflix and online stuff." Basically, useless now for whatever purpose he had it for.
I personally like seeing that I submitted stories. I enjoy seeing that number go up. It matters to me to see the number go up as a feel a sense of pride (since I'm not a paying insider, I feel I contribute to the site in comments and scoops).
However, I'm not going to bitch and complain if I don't get it. If someone else scooped the story before me (I posted it up within 20 mins. of the post going up), I'm not going to get upset by it. I would've liked it, but it went to someone else. I'm cool with that.
What I'm not cool with is saying, "Lots of people sent me this" and no one in that group get the "Scoop Cred". :)
Who was the first one to report this? I've been trying to get "Scooping rights" for awhile now. It's seen as a badge of pride for me. If I didn't get it, no worries. But saying "lots of people" still doesn't give credit to the first one (and linked to his/her account). So who was the first?/div>
Interesting.. Today I learned that there IS a right to air travel.
49 U.S.C. § 40103 : US Code - Section 40103: Sovereignty and use of airspace
(2) A citizen of the United States has a public right of transit through the navigable airspace./div>
Steam had a "Family" category for games. Allot of good choices there..
But for my Son, his "Gateway" game was Minecraft (and he still plays it) as well as Terraina. Both excellent games that are exciting and imangination filled, but no real serious violence (and both can do multiplayer and are cheap)./div>
I have a son. 8 years old. Due to various factors, he's got allot of anger issues.
When he is at his mothers house, he doesn't play "violent video games". But he gets into fights with other kids more then usual.
When he is over my house, I let him play Team Fortress 2 (with the blood off, balloons turned on, etc). We play as a team against the bots and password protect the server so that no one outside of me or him (or whoever I invite on) can join us and be rude.
He is calm, relaxed and not at all the stressed ball I get to see when it's my turn to be with him.
Now, GTA4 of course is out. I have let him play GTA3 (with the voices turned off and under strict supervision), but only to drive fire trucks and put out fires, save people in ambulances and to catch criminals in cop cars (cheat codes to remove the stars for stealing it of course).
So there ya go. A reason why they are good. Now, I won't say not having them would damage his development, but it is helping./div>

If you are in the Portland, Oregon area, you OWE it to yourself to go. Other theaters will pale in comparison. They know how to fill seats. :)
and no. I don't work there and have no ties to them (except it's the only place I watch movies away from home)./div>
