and they are offering some premium stuff through deals with the providers. Like MLB.tv you can buy a pass from MLB, boxee has worked out a deal with them, as have roku, and others to allow people to use their subscription through an interface of their choice.
If you go to hulu.com/user/queue you get all of your stuff on one page.
You can add this link to your boxee account and guess what you get all the same stuff on one page...
wow so technically challenging and obviously illegal...
All it is a browser that is designed to be navigated by remote control so it has a simple interface, and it automatically goes to full screen instead of forcing you to click the full screen button.
Everything else is the same. Play a show get the show and the ads from hulu. pause a show and it pauses just like on hulu in FF.
Try using the software 1st before talking about it and saying how it must be wrong...
Wow, do you even know what you're talking about?
Boxee doesn't advertise on top of hulu, they don't sell you anything. They just show you what is already there, ads and all. It is the exact same experience as watching from FF or IE. You get Ads, you watch a show all from hulu. boxee injects nothing and blocks nothing.
Achron (http://achrongame.com/) is doing something similar.
If you were one of the 1st 500 to pre-order you got it for $20.00 The next set of pre-orders is $29.95
Everyone gets access to all the builds and the final game when it comes out.
Played the 1st alpha so far and it was pretty good a little simple but I could definitely see a lot of potential for a good RTS there.
how do they not include something besides a name which means nothing?

Seriously all they use is a name. Which tells you nothing about anyone and is the easiest thing for anyone to change. So we have a system that can scrutinize an 8 year old, but all a real terrorist has to do is change their name and get a new passport and they're golden...
Group 2/3 Is me.
We got rid of Satellite and just use netflix and hulu to watch everything.
So we do watch some movies on disc, but a lot of it is tv shows for my wife. I mostly find something on the streaming side I want to watch depending on my mood.
I already don't watch many of the movies on disc, because by the time it gets here, I'm not in a mood to watch it or I forgot what it's about so it sits around for a week or two until I look it up.
All this will do is make me less like to ever see the WB movies in question. Already I see almost no commercials for new movies, then the ones I do are long before they come out on disc, so I forget about them. Every now and then I think about them but that doesn't make me buy them.
Like Section-9 or District-9 whatever it was. It came out a long time ago in theaters and I never got around to seeing it. Then it didn't come out on DVD until the week of Christmas, by which time I'm too busy and everyone else has already bought their presents, so I still have never seen it. I'm not even sure what made me think of it now.
All these windows do not help me remember to check out movies let alone buy them.
Most books are less than that most books are less than 1MB unless you have full color, but most current readers and B&W only. So it's going to be more temptation and quick to grab.
I'm pretty sure almost anyone can download a 1mb file in less than 5 min.
An example of this working against them:
I recently had a birthday, and my parents were going to buy me the new wheel of time book for the kindle, but it isn't out yet. So they gave me a gift certificate to amazon and I bought another few books instead. Eventually I may get the new book, but who knows when it is actually coming to kindle, and when the next time I'll think to look is.
I have a kindle and I love, but I don't buy many books with it. Between the free books and the ones on sale I can read a lot for less than $5.00 a piece. You can get a lot of public domain books in pdf and load them on the kindle yourself.
If they come down in price to a reasonable level, considering I can't let someone borrow my copy, I can't sell it and they can disable things on it or remove it, I won't buy many.
if he went over he should have never accepted the work or not accepted it without something in the contract pertaining to how many hours that work was for and what to do if he went over.
Most likely they said we will pay you $500.00 to write this code. They don't care if it takes 10 seconds or 200 hours they're paying you to get it down by a certain date. If you can't do it for that price you're an idiot to accept the work.
we had some similar things on a project I worked for.
The code was developed with money from the customer and our own company so they had joint ownership.
The customer could use it for anything they wanted, but we had the rights to sell the code.
It still had copyright notices in there, but the customer didn't have to pay any attention to them as long as they weren't selling it.
assuming you actually care about watching sports...
apparently you don't know much about streaming either.
it's pretty simple just like selecting what channel you want to watch on your tv (oh noes i have to click button 1 button 2 button 3 to get to my stupid sports program... sooo much work.)
Depending on which source you are using and what your bandwidth is, you can stream HD as well, but yes the internet must suck and not be even clock to TV....
mostly the same don't like chrome and don't care about blogger. But I use most of their other stuff right now, but this may have me looking for new solutions. Google just seems to be making dumb shortsighted moves lately.
