Be blindly loyal to your government. Refuse to believe anything you hear that portrays them in a negative light. Report anyone that tells you such things to the nearest thought police coordinator.
Give up your rights because your government tells you, defending your rights equals terrorism. Become a slave because its the patriotic thing to do, etc.
Have to make the criminals that benefit from this crime happy otherwise they might retaliate against the democratic process and we cannot do that out of fear of course.
I would hold to the police ignoring crimes committed by police but prosecuting non cops that do the same crimes. Probably has a very high share of the blame.
You earn respect, you do not demand it at the point of a gun
So you are basing your whole argument on what might be, but cannot be proven. But you claim that method of doing things in flawed when people do the same thing to counter your argument?
When those charged with enforcing the law show utter contempt for it. Society starts to break down as fewer people bother to follow the law.
Add to that the hero worship the average person stupidly seems to have for police. Eventually people will either have to fight back against corruption or roll over and die.
To those that say there are good cops, if you have police turning a blind eye to their fellow officers crimes, then they are not good cops.
Making blanket statements like that is a very good sign this guy has lost whatever marbles he had to begin with and is just lashing out at everyone around him now.
Let me guess it goes something like this "it's not my fault I cheat on my wife, it's the websites fault for not protecting the secret nature of my misdeeds better. Why should I be held accountable for my actions when I can blame someone else."
I would not be surprised if this investigative reporter is charged with aiding and abetting terrorism for exposing incompetence among those in charge of this aspect of the city.
I would not trust the police with a dull butter knife let alone the military hardware they wield and seem constantly decide is never enough to wage war against the citizenry be they criminal or just in the way.
just following orders seems to be the popular thing among the brain dead police officers.
If that comment happens to offend any police that read it good. maybe you will start thinking for yourselves if you should blindly follow clearly illegal orders the next time you are given some.
I think most of us in the "crazy paranoid theorists group" are just waiting for society to fall apart with a small subset of this group trying to fix it.
Sadly it is hard to fix what most people would rather pretend is not a problem until of course it happens to them by which time it's too late to do much
