I'm beginning to think that is the legal strategy behind a lot of these cases.
File convoluted and meandering motions in volume so that eventually the judge runs out of ibuprofen and just highlights a couple paragraphs to cite justifying his/her decision so the pounding will stop.
So 3 notes in a song and you are ready to yank someone's internet access, but a clear case of copying (and I have looked at it carefully and agree it appears to be a copy) that doesn't fit your "but Piracy" model and you brush it off?
Don't be so sure about radio, I work in automotive repair and when a car comes in the shop it either has an mp3 player hooked to the radio or is on a talk(sports/news/politics) station. They used to always be on FM but not anymore.

This doesn't add up to me
8 million divided by 365 = 21917 requests per day every day?
Even with multiple pings that is an insane amount of tracking going on. And this is just one carrier.
How many people are looking at and processing this information or does it just go to a database in case the need to build a case against you later?
