There's just too many damn lawyers, with all their fingers in too damn many 'pies'! If you hire them, then you've gotta give them something to do.
It's especially important that you find stuff for them to do that will really PISS OFF your best and most loyal fans and supporters. That's called 'getting good press...'
They've obviously hired too many damn lawyers, and need to keep them busy. What wonderful consumer relations! Really makes you want to do business with folks like this!
There are assholes in every business. Usually they don't advertise their stupidity. This is obviously one more business to avoid doing 'business' with.
These guys tried this yesterday at BoingBoing and got rightly shot down. Here's a copy of my post yesterday: --------------- These guys keep coming back here with new names. They specifically **DO NOT MENTION DATA LOGGING**!. If they keep logs of your data, when the feds come calling, you're toast. In other words, here again is that proverbial 10-foot pole, as in: "I wouldn't touch this with a 10-foot pole"!
By all means, check them out if you like; than come back and check out one of the best write-ups on VPNs. It's a bit out of date but still valid with useful info, and at least you'll know what to look for in a legit VPN service.
That there was finally some action and some good news on this story! This family has been waiting a long time for 'justice'! Hopefully, now they'll get some.
You know what they say: Don't touch this with a 'ten-foot-pole'. If you want a 'real' VPN solution, this site has one of the best comparisons of what's available, who's tracking your info, and what it costs; it's a year old, but still valid:
It's been obvious for a while that it will take a MAJOR innovation to get our isp's up off their asses and actually do something.
Hopefully, Elon Musk is holding part of the solution! If he can actually get some of his satellites up into orbit anytime in the next year or two, that could provide the competitive challenge the isp's need to finally get their shit together!
Step 1: Sue the shit out Verizon for failure to fulfill their contract.
Step 2: FCC now says laws protecting regional ISP's are no longer valid, so bring in competition IMMEDIATELY to complete the job and to compete with Verizon for pricing, etc. city-wide.
I can see why Apple is afraid of the Pebble; I got mine on May 7th & charged it up. It's still running on that FIRST CHARGE almost a full month; (this Sunday (06/07) will be a full month. )
I laugh when I hear about people having to charge their Apple watches twice a day! Oh, boo hoo, Apple!
