Man, is he talking about online multi player or single player or both. If it's multi player, I'm not doing that bad. If it's single player or both, I've probably killed 750k people/aliens/NPC's in my game playing life.
If video games made people violent I would have gone a rampage in the early 80's. If violent video games bred generations of 'killers' I would have gone a rampage in the 90's. Name a first person shooter and I've probably played it on some platform.
Something always has to be the scapegoat and it's video games turn now. Started with comics, then TV, then D&D, then on to video games. I'm sure something in the future will displace video games as the scapegoat.
If companies were really interested in doing the online only properly, the easiest thing to do would be have the game ping a server say every 5 minutes. Just to check the key and make sure it's a legitimate copy.
What's the point of having a 2TB hard drive if you can't put saved games on it. I realize the whole point is to prevent hacking of offline games and then putting them into the online part of the game but like they just trying to piss people off.
I have HBO right now as a cable subscriber. I plan on dropping it after the third season is over and picking it back up next March when season four starts.
What I don't understand is this, if someone doesn't have cable or dish or direct tv, how would those providers even know that the person had an online on subscription to HBO?
I think an unregulated Congress is a dangerous thing. All the studies have shown that an unregulated Congress leads to overreaching laws with unintended consequences.
I have had the streaming option for NHL Center Ice ofr the past three years. Good service, as I live in GA and love me some Chicago Blackhawks. Only problem I've had is somehow the Nashville games are blacked out. Being 300 miles from Nashville seems a bit much. Funny thing is, I can find illegal streams of all the games but choose to pay because the product it good. Even found the stream of Nashville-Chicago that was a gamecenter stream.
Being from the great state of Georgia, it saddens me greatly when one of the two people representing me fails like this. Chambliss is another empty suit nodding his head and 'just following orders.'
This is why Nintendo is a distant third in the console wars. Oh, they'll sell a ton of WiiU's but just like the original Wii no one will be playing it in a year. As much as some people have a problem with MS, their Xbox Live service is exceptional. Everything is tied to your account not your system. Hard drive fails? Get another and redownload everything. Hard part is waiting.
I'll stop talking on my phone while driving, which I don't do every often, when the local police stop talking on their phones while driving. If anything I'm more alert while on the phone.
I tried the Windows 8 beta and I thought it was great for a tablet. The desktop version seems to just be Windows 7 with that hideous Metro UI slapped on top of it. I will be skipping the upgrade to Windows 8 and I bet a lot of other people will too.
I realize that HBO doesn't want to upset the cable companies. It seems to me that HBO could have a streaming service. If people don't have or don't want cable, having them being able to subscribe to HBO Go doesn't lose the cable companies anything. Cox, my cable company, sent me a coupon late in 2010 saying I could get HBO free for a year or a boost to my internet speed, or something else I could use. I chose HBO strictly for the Game of Thrones.

I also own two guns, a FN 5.7 and an AR-15. I love target shooting and have never even thought about trying to harm someone.
I don't know what the answer is but I can say that it's not taking away rights from many because of a few.
