then I shouldn't have to pay to get it fixed when it breaks. I should just pay a monthly lease and the vendor can replace my game disk / cell phone / vcr / gamebox / etc when I have a problem with it.
Now you're going overboard. I'm saying that I want something with HUD capabilities and you're talking about watching a game. I'm saying, design a device with specific functionality, much like your in car GPS unit, but wearable. Don't add all the other pieces. Let it Bluetooth to your phone for the data connection, but not for entertainment apps. Keep it simple.
For the high end device, some safeguards can be put in place to monitor speed and limit app availability if you are obviously in a car. Also, haven't you ever seen a driver with their phone mounted on their dash, watching YouTube videos? Those people are already on the Darwin shortlist.
What I really want from a device like Google Glass is a good Heads Up Display (HUD). As a motorcycle rider, I would love to have a compass, GPS, map, Caller ID, etc. available. As for the camera, everybody already whips out their phone at a moment's notice to take pictures where ever they are. I just always assume that if I am around other people, there is a potential for photos to be taken.
to represent me and the rest of the voting public, aren't interested in doing what "we the people" are asking for.I see my vote changing in the future.
That they also slammed down on accessing the online stream from multiple locations. I pay for unlimited streaming but now I cannot watch a movie in the living room while my kids watch a movie in the basement.
... making the school a vendor of a service(education) and the student the customer? Changing the rules/contract without proper discussion with the client/student breaches the original contract. Maybe I'm being too simple with my reasoning, but can't an argument be made along these lines as well? Discuss.
Re: Re: Re: Neftlix is not what it is cracked up to be
That is a matter of opinion. The opposite is true for me. I stream from Netflix a lot and I happen to get the occasional physical DVD,therefore, for me, they are a movie streaming company.

Re: Parental Involvement
I agree. As a parent with 3 children who all have computer media centers in their rooms, I believe that the amount of parental involvement makes a huge difference. My wife an I place limits on screen time and enforce study time. As a result I have 3 honor roll students.

I believe that the mall setting where it is, is exactly where it should be. There are several ways to get to it without encountering tons of traffic. It is accessible to people staying st hotels near the airport, for quick shopping while traveling. The traffic problems in that area are no worse than they are in any other section of the Chicago suburbs. I drive in that area daily. The major problem is O'Hare. There is so much traffic going to and from the airport that some alternate entrances and exits to the airport are in order.

Simple question
If I buy an iPhone, isn't it MY phone? Don't I get to decide what is objectionable content by not loading that app or going to that website? When did Apple become my parents? After all, I'm 44 years old. I think I can make a few decision for myself.

Actually, I don't normally have a comment that hasn't already been said, so I read the newsfeed and move on with my day.
Now, if you have an actual answer to my question, that would be great.
I'll be in my bunker, away from the other extroverts and hiding out.
