History repeats itself .... Re. Net neutrality

All of the original cartoons were more of less correct. It is ( I think ) Mike Masnick that does not 'get it'.

Used to say I was a libertarian

    Now I claim I am a volutariast ..... ( satire : Labels are wonderful )

Question #1 Why is good to have countries ? Name a compelling reason. Bigger countries have bigger militaries , bigger concerns about borders , less love for the inhabitants of Earth , less love for the inhabitants of the country in question , more strife of the division of tax derived spoils, much more creative approaches to finance & accounting.

Question #2 Is it better to be offered a over-hyped snake oil product by the "free market" and be scammed .... or is it better to simply be told by the government that you must buy and use a product you don't want ?

Question #3 Is it better to be witty , clever & hip .... or is it better to think about things for along time and absorb as much of the big picture as possible ? Is it better to lock onto to some core principles or to approach each new issue with a completely open mind ?

    Don't drive where I drive

I am rolling my eyes and thinking your vehicle should be painted bright orange with flashing lights. With no sense of irony ( apparently ) , Mike talks about being unable to concentrate sufficiently while driving to be able to understand 3X speed podcasts. Golly .... does that mean that Mike has to look under the dash for the iPod he dropped on the floor while he is driving 235 kph while passing an old folks home that has let out for lunch ? ( Please don't lecture me on the "correct" usage of irony ...... eye m bzy changing de Engrish Langweech. 99guspuppet

Where does one find "free" water ?????? Unless you are sitting next to a stream and put your face into drink ............ Someone had to do something to get the water to you. And so there was a cost involved. There is no magical "processed water for free" tree.

Raise money to end money in politics

This campaign ( the MAYDAY PAC ) is meant to be a satire.... right ? If not , it certainly looks like satire.

If the campaign raised money to educate... that would a fine idea. But I doubt that the plan is to be non-coercive.

Since it is described as a PAC , I presume ( and I could be wrong ) that the money will be used to influence big time politicians. Sort of a bidding war to control the biggest a**holes. Pour more money into the slavelord* system and you get more of the same. More wheeler-dealers. More messianic lying manipulators. More buyoffs. More influence peddling. The bigger the system gets... the worse it is likely to get.

Remember the First Commandment ( and only commandment )...
== Leave thy neighbor alone ==

    * that is what the politico/industrial/crapitalism/military/welfare is ..... people bossing other people around.

    tumbling

The *tumbling* argument is a hoot... based on that everyone in the U.S. that has used a banking system has engaged in money laundering.... i demand they turn their tainted money into the willing hands of the slavemasters who *protect* us.

TSA is moving even more toward totally funded irrelevance

Traveled Denver to LAX in December 2013. Both ways I was selected for fast tracking. ( I am an old white male ) Going to LAX I had to open one bag. Nothing else. Kept my shoes on. Going back to Denver. I passed my bags through the Xray machine. That was it. I was untouched. ( Well I did walk through a metal detector. ) Imagine if TSA could have lots of funding and employees ... and they went in a black box for 8 hours ( maybe used their psi power ) and then went home. Travelers simply walked through the airport, unimpeded , got on their plane, flew. What a wonderful world. 99TSA 99guspuppet

    Re: Re:

Would you mind changing your name *Stone* ? Would it really hurt you to change it ? I find the word *stone* so offensive, I can hardly breath. Stoning used to be a cruel punishment. Stoned implies drug use. Please stop using this word. Please Please Please.

Racism charges are a common way of bullying people and promoting censorship. Saying a word is commonly accepted as offensive is no reason to censor it. Redskin , nigger , honkie , wop , jew-boy ...... see ... I printed those *words* and no one died. No one even has to read them. Stick and stones may break my bones ... *words* will never harm me. Words are conversation... they are good.... actions may or may not be good. Force and violence are what I detest. By the way, although I have pale skin, I did not put smallpox in blankets,or steal land from someone else. Anyone claiming Native Indian heritage did not shoot arrows at settlers. Being an American citizen does not mean you own the US Navy , or condone the POTUS or have big muscles ( maybe in the head ). Yelling *fire* in a theatre only causes panic if the attendees are *idiots*.
