Not very sporting.
Hardly sporting is it?
Like shooting fish in a barrel.
Remember when they raided Willie Nelson's tour bus?
/div>Fiber isn't a fix
For rural areas, they aren't going to run fiber to your house. Not with out lots of government subsidies. Rural America only got electricity because the government was willing to foot the bill.
"Rural communities" might have access, but try being at the end of a 5 mile dirt road. Or a ranch in Montana. Lots of places in the US are still remote enough to make laying wire or cable or fiber too labor intensive to make economical sense.
There's also parts of Africa Australian outback. Starlink definitely has it's place. And Musk has said, it's not a replacement for urban internet providers. This is to get the remote areas on board.
/div>Re: Strategy
That's been on my mind too.
A group of people stood around and did nothing while 3 cops murdered George Floyd.
At what point are you justified in using force to prevent a crime? If it were not the cops, I know when. Why doesn't the same standard apply when faced with homicidal cops?
If I do nothing while watching a black man get lynched, I am as guilty as the lynchers. Even if the lynchers are wearing a uniform.
/div>Hardly "he did everything he was supposed to." (as ARLibertarian)
"he did everything he was supposed to."
Carrying a gun in Chicago at 2:30am when you are 13 is NOT doing everything you are supposed to do. Staying the $*%& home at 13, and being ready for school the next day IS.
I am VERY leery of government power, but doing dumb $#!+ has consequences. This does not fall into the same category as sitting on a man's neck for 9 minutes.
/div>Pedos use cars... (as ARLibertarian)
...so let's ban cars too.
/div>Re: Apple should be proscuted un RICO
stupid stuck keys.
...UNDER RICO
/div>Apple should be proscuted un RICO (as ARLibertarian)
This is an absolute rip-off.
Apple has become a criminal organization.
/div>Not the only ones treatened (as ARLibertarian)
Governments are the only ones at risk of free speech.
Traditional main stream media outlets also have lost control of the dialog.
A healthy dose of critical thinking is needed when consuming unfiltered "news" and opinion, but even so it's better than having corporate mouth pieces guiding the conversation to the desired conclusion.
/div>Don't Drone me bro! (as ARLibertarian)
Meanwhile, Iraqi Domino's drivers are begging Al Qaeda to quit ordering their halil pizzas....
/div>Real culprit (as ARLibertarian)
Come on, it's not all Hugo Boss's fault.
Lawyer's need something to do. Imagining slights for billable hours keeps the lights on.
/div>World wide LEO Broadband
How is this going to play in places like China?
/div>Cross Border for School? (as ARLibertarian)
A little off topic, but WHY is a 9 year old American girl, born to (presumably) Mexican parents crossing the border to go to school in the US? Schools are paid for by the local community, and generally, you have to live in the district to attend school.
(I know, doesn't excuse the jack booted thuggish-ness of the BP)
/div>Re: Prep those cuffs boys and girls (as ARLibertarian)
Re: No harm(to us), no foul, right?
My brother got hit with one of those for a work place related injury. His company said all bills were paid. Insurance company said all bills were paid. Hospital said all bills were paid. He showed up in court, said trolls immediately with drew their case. The 20 other people that didn't show up got default judgements. Wonder how many of them also had fully paid bills?/div>
Comcast and SSNs
Re: Re: tl;dr
Been there
Anyway, M$ found out, audited, wanted money, PCs were cleaned, and we were all given WordStar, a shareware(?) word processing program.
Amazing how the world looks different from the other side of the fence./div>
Re: Re: UNLIMITED DATA PLANS FOR AN AFFORDABLE PRICE
It's not for everyone. You have to have a bit of tech savvy since they don't have brick and mortar stores. Tech support is a phone call, you can't walk in. You buy your own phone, no 2 year contract to make up the difference.
BUT, I mentioned my bill this month is $59???
They piggy back on two networks (Sprint/T-Mobile), buying in bulk and passing the savings on to their customers. Started by Two Cows. Remember them?
Anyway, check it out. They are majorly tech friendly. Not douche bags at all./div>
That's unfair (as Jeff Cantwell)
Dumb thieves (as Jeff Cantwell)
They called within the day crying, begging her to take the video down. Brought her stuff back.
Unfortunately, cameras weren't possitioned to catch the A/C stealing meth-head./div>
