It's very chilling to consider the implications of the developers suddenly quitting their project. Not just quitting, but trying to kill it by announcing it is no good. People don't just kill years of their own work over nothing. I think we can all agree that there is only one entity that could make this happen. How very, very scary. It does, however, make me want to get the latest build of TrueCrypt. It must be good for the US government to be so afraid of it./div>
I think Keurig is going to drop this ridiculous idea. I know I'm not very good at predicting, especially about the future, but that is the only rational decision I can see for them. Of course, they were irrational enough to invest in this idea to begin with, so who knows? I just bought myself a brand new percolator while my Keurig sits unused on my counter, so I'll be watching this from the sidelines.
BTW, my percolator makes a fair cup of coffee. Nothing to rave about, but it's convenient, stays hot, and doesn't create garbage (other than grounds). I'll save the pour-over, which is truly the best, for the weekends when I have time to spend 5 minutes brewing a single cup of coffee./div>
What were they threatened with to abandon their work?
Keurig's DRM Scheme Will Fail
