  I'm surprised this case went to court in the first place. An intellectual property attorney should have known that a Creative Commons license made this plaintiff's claims invalid. I wonder what the photographer's legal fees were...

  It's not $35 per photo. It's per batch of photos. You can register thousands of images in one registration for one fee (which is now $55).
