just FYI, your link to "click here" takes you to the already filled out search page for TSA. I only glossed over the first page of results but I found one article had nothing to do with the TSA, but had the name "Kirtsaeng" in it (which has tsa within it).
I just thought this was funny. I wonder how many more are like that?/div>
same to you mike. please keep doing what you do. i feel that if you're pointing out what's wrong and also giving examples of what's right, there should be no confusion on your motives. it's unfortunate, and clearly not your fault, if there's more 'wrong' than 'right' going on (obviously loose definition of wrong and right needed here).
i got in for the super duper deluxe version. I mentioned in the comments that I wasn't sure I was down to read the book, I just loved the idea, and thought I could give away the book to friends and hopefully get my kids names in the acknowledgments (comes in the patron pack). Robin replied ( http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/robinsloan/robin-writes-a-book-and-you-get-a-copy/comments ) with "here's what I'm gonna try to do... I'm gonna try to post such interesting updates and teasers between now & the book's publication that you are totally enticed to read it. This is my new mission.". Awesome. CwF for a RtB.
so i asked him if he'd heard of techdirt (after confusing techdirt accidentally with lifehacker... soooo sorry) and he said no, but came over here via the link i provided and checked in on the post, and the comments.
this may be just a semantics or a to-may-to, to-mah-to thing, but as I read the Slate articles, that guy doesn't come across as a "friend of the blog". 1) "Credulous music-industry critics lapped it up; Techdirt, after stating flatly that Warner had..." and 2) in his "update" posted Sept 3, 7:19 pm, he says "Techdirt, which trumpeted the original Daily News story, has struck through its entire post. After Slate's piece appeared, Techdirt posted its own debunking of the Daily News story. "
Also, he claims you posted AFTER him (but, the slate article now only shows the update stamp, so i can't really see when it was published... full disclosure, i'm not looking that hard).
just sayin.
On another topic, I'd just like to say that I love reading this site. Unfortunately, I'm about 300 posts behind (Mike, you're too prolific). :-) Have a good holiday.
