  To use an analogy, what we have here is essentially someone downloading saves of other players and doing stuff to them locally. That's absolutely it.
  
  It might be that someone finds a way to get the server to accept the changed save by spoofing the ownerid but considering that the trick has been in the open for two or so days now and there is no news whatsoever of that happening, it will, at the very least be non trivial to do so.
  
  Very sloppy article, highly disappointed.

  So to recap: 50 shades of grey was a porn parody of Twilight. It became something else. Now the movie "50 Shades of Grey" is a movie adaption of "50 Shades of Grey". And one so close that they actually use the book as script as far as it's possible.
  
  If I understood this right so far I wouldn't say they forgot the origins of 50 shades. You can agree or disagree with the rules as they are, but IMO this is pretty clear cut in favour of Universal (never thought I'd write that or even defend them, I feel dirty now).
  
  If they did an actual parody of 50 Shades things would be different.

  The Leistungsschutzrecht has no real political proponents anymore. Back in 2009 CDU/FDP decided we need it (especially considering their history, someone probably paid for that / promised something for it). We have this weird "whip" (BE, German is "Fraktionszwang" and it essentially says that you have to stay with the pre-decided line of the parties that make up the government [CDU/FDP in this case]) and they don't really know how to get out of the hole in the ground they were digging for themselves.
  
  Personally I hope it comes into law and Google just removes all links to German newspapers. It'll probably hurt smaller and better publishers more than the big, crappy ones (especially Axel Springer, the main proponent, responsible for toilet paper like "BILD", comparable to British "The Sun") but I'll take that short term damage for the reeducation it'll hopefully bring.

  While calling them a "wide appeal" party would indeed go too far, calling them a one-issue party is just as bad. It's been used in trying to discredit them pretty much since their inception and it was wrong back then just as it is now.

  Maybe it's not an improvement over the cable and dish prices. But I'd still buy it (If I could. Sadly as a German, I can't).
  
  Why? Because I can't get those networks anyway. I have absolutely no legal way to get that content in a timely fashion. I'd need to wait for the DVD release (or for it to be on iTunes, but I can see nothing convincing me to create an Apple account).

  Concerning books

  on Nobody Cares About The Fixed Costs Of Your Book, Movie, Whatever
  I agree, especially for eBook novels. I'm not going to pay more than 5-6� for those.
  
  Hardcovers now are something different. If they look great (and not like one of those 08/15 vampire/fantasy/scifi books) I'm happy to pay 15-20� easily for something like Patrick Rothfuss - The Wise Man's Fear (And after the series is done I'll rebuy the first part as hardcover just to have all 3 in their glory^^).
  
  Now books with a niche appeal are something else. A week ago I bought an eCookBook for 19$ (or rather 4 ebooks varying from 5-90 pages). I know that not many people will buy this or even be interested in it so I can understand the higher prize.
