What would happen if every single library in the US bought a porsche and allowed it to be checked out 3 weeks at a time for free. Well the first thing would be that many systems would probably have to buy a couple extras because of the demand to check out the car. The second is that over time they would be worn out and the libraries would have to buy more porsches to replace them. I am pretty sure that this system would actually result in a net increase in the number of porsches sold in the US, and porsche would love it./div>
If littering hundreds of sheets of paper on my private property that I then have to dispose of is protected speech then shouldn't spray painting a message on the side of my house be as well. In fact shouldn't I be required to allow companies to paint a billboard on the side of my house as long as they also include a map of the area around their business? This is asinine, they aren't being prevented from printing or distributing their "product" only from dumping it on people's property against their will. Before I got on a do not distribute list I was receiving nearly a foot tall stack of 10-12 different yellow pages per year. I hope the ordinance will be rewritten more narrowly and rather than creating a list simply ban the dumping of paper on private property entirely./div>
It is unbelievable to me that in his note he acts like having to go to 2 separate websites and rate each movie 2 times is somehow an advantage over the current system. Part of what makes netflix good is that it is quick and easy to use, the new method guarantees it will take twice as long to rate a movie./div>
Here in Oregon Comcast advertises like crazy that it's crappy on demand service has movies right away, 28 days before netflix/redbox, so it seems like the only one benefiting from this is comcast's marketing department./div>
I wish he would put it on netflix, so I could watch it and he could get some money from it. Maybe he is trying I don't know exactly how the netflix royalties work, and I can work a bittorrent as well as the next guy but don't mind tossing it in the netflix queue especially since I think that does help the makers get paid.../div>
as someone who was laid off at the same time that hurd was using company funds to pay former porn stars to "escort" him around I think the main mistake here was paying him off, rather than trying to have him prosecuted for stealing company funds and firing him outright. However I am surprised to learn that 40 million dollars worth of severance can not make a non compete clause enforceable, seems like a contract with compensation to me.
Regardless he should be prosecuted for insider trading as he dumped millions in stock just days before the news of his tryst/resignation became public./div>
The ink cartridges that come with your printer generally come with far less ink than the replacement cartridge you buy at the store. This lets people startup without having to buy additional ink. Always buy the largest size supply you can get for your printer, they are a much better deal cost of ownership wise./div>
