A suggestion for all in public in the UK

Perhaps a Guy Fawkes mask would be appropriate? It would in the very least be interesting, until it becomes a crime of course.

And I bet the teachers were very smug and concerned!

OK, yeah yeah we all know its insane by any measure of common sense what they did. But, picture this, I bet the teachers and staff were as smug and condescending, they of course can't talk about it, because its about the children. That give them blanket immunity from any objective semblance of responsibility. They can hide behind that protection, that same protection that whistle blowers used to have, but has been stripped away. Years ago we would of laughed at the "nut job" teacher who was so lacking in common sense they would do things like this and the principal would apologize and be embarrassed, but today this type of narcissistic moral posture is becoming the norm. OMG look little Sally pulled a Twinkie out of her lunch box, its very phallic, call the authorities!!! OMG the children, we have to protect them.

Let's just cut to the core; Gov. monitored cameras in all house's

"Good Morning Jim, did you hear about Bob?". Jim looks up from his cup of coffee; "No, what happened"? "Well, seems that Bob and his wife covered the Gov. hall camera last night and with the kids and all "Think of the Children, Praise the Children", it took 15 minutes for the SWAT team to get to the house and break in the door, seems they didn't see Bobby Jr. having a snack, he was shot 52 times when he looked at them." "Once they blew through the bedroom door, they had a hard time dragging the bleeding wife out by her hair, she was resisting of course, so they had to beat her into not resisting" "Of course" Jim commented. "Bob is in the hospital, they think he should be out of his coma in a few days so they can charge him and he should probably be able to talk in a few months, with the broken jaw and all. His other 2 kids were put into immediate foster homes, "Praise the Children, It's all about the Children". They seized the house and everything they owned" "Of course, Of course" Jim said. "Well, thats the 4th incident this week, at this rate we won't be able to keep up with the next batch." The boys take old flags and copies of the constitution and make toilet paper paper out of it, might as well do physically what 's being done metaphorically.

All the dead that fought for freedom are rolling over

A light of freedom during world wars, a civilized nation when there were few. Now you have a group of people telling you what to think and say. Wouldn't any possible questioning of the government be considered a "threat to democracy"? How can you allow this government to continue? Are you all so subservient to the power at this point you just don't give a shit? At what point would you consider too far? Potential fetus "decriminalization", if they aren't born they can't commit "terrorist acts". The deaf can't hear commands from your masters, they will have to be "dealt with". Then of course "the children". Mr. Thought Control: "my mommy and daddy said the government sucks". Cart em away. Maybe the North Koreans can help you out, maybe putting 3 generations of familys in camps are not too bad an idea after all. You know Bin Laden was not so stupid after all, he started a process to destroy freedom and its working Vote them out of office, you may not get another chance.

Some of the smartest IT people in the world (as jackpollard)

OK, I'm with everyone here, we have no choice and the ISP's are pure scum. You know as well as I do, we will lose this war, money talks and no-one really cares about the facts. I believe we have some of the best and brightest, who cares if they even work for the NSA, CIA. Can't we figure out how to push mesh networking more main stream? We need a new technology not owned by anyone, like the web was once. How do we get rid of relying on the ISP's? There has to be a way.
