I don't know if using plugins like Adblock blocks the ad download or not but if you do the blocking by using a custom hosts file then they will not be download and will not affect your data caps./div>
I currently own a Galaxy S (Captivate) and I use Cyanogen 7. Moves like this are a great way to build up your brand and to build up the community around your products. Samsung hasn't done everything related to Android right, but they are really making a smart decision here./div>
This is the biggest problem with unions in my opinion. If the employers could hire people not in the union then you have a balance against the union. Since the employers can't hire anyone not in the union, the union gains increased bargaining power. This leads to problems at the negotiating table. If the employer has the ability to higher non union employees then the union has to be sensible in its demands or the employer has the ability to work around them./div>
You are charged by how much you use for electricity because there is a very real cost depending on how much is used. If you use more electricity the power plant uses more fuel and therefore the cost to you is higher. If you use less then they don't burn fuel and they save money so you are charged less.
With broadband there is a high cost to build the network but once the network is built there is no cost per byte. The network costs are (roughly) the same regardless of if you are at 5% capacity or 90% capacity./div>
It's simple to get around that though. If Palin hires the worker personally to produce the photo then she owns the copyright and can use it however she wants./div>
Someone from /. said the same thing. The original article you are thinking of I believe was about the filing of this case. Just the fact that the took it away from him because it represented a gang was news but this decision to support that on appeal is even crazier./div>
No in that situation the left would have been silent and the right would have been calling for new laws (ala Patriot Act) to combat terrorism. One side or the other will always jump on any act they believe can push their agenda forward.
Techincally no one can see your body movement's without the light that is using the electromagnetic spectrum. It gets rather dark and hard to see when you can't use light./div>
The problem is, as Mike pointed out, that IP support or lack of does not tend to fall anywhere near party lines. I know people from all sides of the political spectrum that are both for and against IP laws. Personally I'm a libertarian and find IP to be an absurd concept./div>
Newegg.com is great about negative comments like that. There is responses from the manufacturer's in the reviews that are almost that exact PR line : "It sounds as if you product was defective, please contact us at xxx-xxx-xxxx to setup a RMA for a new replacement." It really does reflect well on the companies and it's a much better reinforcement then suing someone because they didn't like your product./div>
This is the exact same argument you hear against warrantless wiretaps and it's just as invalid for this as it is for that. Just because I don't have anything to hide doesn't mean I should willing submit to every encroachment on my rights. The entire process that the TSA goes through is a sham. If someone competent wants to destroy a plane, they will, and no amount of security will be able to deter someone determined to do damage./div>
