Wow. Simply wow. I guess it would make just as much sense to Google (Youtube) to simply back out of Italy just as they're considering doing with China (for other reasons obviously).
They certainly can't be expected to process every video manually and still maintain a profit and if a countrys legal system can be either that stupid, biased or corrupt to make a ruling such as this, then it would probably cost them more money to continue to operate there.
I wonder how the citizens of Italy would feel with no access to YouTube at all?/div>
"Michael Geist points us to the rather surprising news"
Umm, hardly surprising when you neglected to mention the topic for the essay competition was in fact "Is it OK to download music, movies and games without paying?". Considering that ALL 80 entries were on the exact same topic it would be logical to assume that the winner would also be on that topic no?/div>
Just have to say something don't you, no matter how retarded it is. A blip is an inconsequential amount. An amount that can be percieved to have little or no effect on the outcome or result. How do you conclude that what was written in the article inferred a blip to mean "almost no downloading of movies online"? Don't put stupid words into people mouths./div>
I saw this stupid Buzz thing today when I signed into Gmail. Thankfully there was an option to skip the Buzz and just go to my mail. It sounded stupid, kinda like Bing!/div>
It's worth noting that, although a users account was effectively blocked upon reciept of said accusation, you could still access a page at Exetel that gave you the option of clicking a "deny accusation" button that gave your net access back almost immediately. Not ideal by any means, but I suspect it was designed to admonish the ISP of any responsibility.
It's like trying to stop the incoming tide with a chain link fence. Every now and then the fence still needs maintenance. Doesn't do it any good though./div>
Well after watching the first minute of both of those (that's seriously all I could bare) I can see that the General quite possibly did rip it off. He just couldn't remember all the original words I guess. Too much Agent Orange I suspect./div>
"Anyhow it's only the non locals that usually have problems. The locals are brought up to be careful when in most situations that might reveal wildlife that's out to harm you."
Yeah, cos it worked out so well for Steve Irwin :P/div>

Hardly Surprising

So just how is he supposed to provide you with a law that doesn't exist exactly?/div>
