About Allan R. Wallace
"Civilization's progress has always been initiated by individuals balancing demands within their intimate groups against their personal needs for independence and identity. Social engineers and central planners always err at this point. What they endeavor is to convert humankind from small, intimate, flexible tribes into a collective with one mind (their mind of course). They want to make all the complex human herds and packs composed of individuals into a single hive of drones. They have always failed, they will always fail; for outstanding individuals will continue to emerge - imagining and accomplishing exceptional goals - changing everything." - Allan Wallace Allan is Rector Emeritus of Bastiat Free University, Steward Emeritus of Junior Partner Ministries, and has served as director of development for The Netcohort Institute. He's retired and now does research and writing in support of human rights. http://cyberhug.me "Start breaking rules and making mistakes now so your solutions arrive in time. Most nations deserve to fail and will. It's up to you to craft support for a superior replacement. Get to work." - Allan R. Wallace

Re: choice
Enough vampire books for you? How 'bouts garage bands? Maybe there are to many inventors and entrepreneurs working in garages?
If you are unable to discern excellent from mediocre, read a forum filled with people who can. Don't limit my choice because you can't make a decision.
Which Kazoo band is your favorite?/div>
Guitar Hero - stuck in the 1400s
Another opportunity for indie artists. Do you think Activision will sell me the code and rights?
Businesses like music or book publishers still think virtually unlimited information can be priced like scarce resources. The illiterate monks in their scriptoria need to discover Gutenberg. Things have changed.
/div>Jury Novation
"In the UK at least the jury has the right to vote innocent if they disagree with the law. Surely you have a similar system?" - Anonymous Coward
The US had such a system, but judges jealous over their power refuse to acknowledge it. Judges want their instructions to the jury to be the only instructions available.
From the page my name is linked to:
. . . Of even greater power was jury nullification which allowed juries to strike down (nullify) unjust laws and thereby declare a defendant not guilty. Paths to protect from over reaching governments were emerging and growing.
"The jury has the right to judge both the law as well as the fact in controversy." John Jay, first U. S. Supreme Court Chief Justice
The influence of this idea can be seen in a quote from Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence and third president of the United States of America.
"If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so." Thomas Jefferson

Money is a score keeping methodology. Currency is a way to cheat on the score card.
Price is not just about today's currency cost; but an indicator of tomorrow's money costs. Price measures money's value, thus making money useful as a store of time, labor, and innovation against future needs./div>
