Back before I moved to Las Vegas, I lived in San Diego, and used to go to the San Diego ComicCon, starting in the late 70s and early 80s. This was back when it was still pretty small and was held at the Hotel San Diego. Back then it was a blast. Now, its outgrown its roots and takes over the giant San Diego Convention Center. Looks to me its become too big for its britches.../div>
ANYbody who pays any attention to Mashable should expect this kind of idiotic article.. Whoever came up with "Mashable" as a name for the website had to have been smoking some serious weed.../div>
I spent close to 20 years supporting MS products in the workplace and up until I retired in 2010, I dualbooted Win7 and Linux. At that time, I decided I was done with Microsoft's products, and deleted the Win7 partition on all of my home systems. Since Windows 10 has come out, and I hear of all of the abuse that people who still use MS products get from MS, the forced updates, updates that brick the system and the textbook malware methods MS used to get the "free" Win10 on as many systems as they could AND THEN the blatant spyware aspects of Win10, all I can do is shake my head and realize that a VERY large number of people either don't know what a turd Win10 is, or they know and DON'T CARE..
Certainly am glad I don't use MS products anymore.../div>
REALLY simple answer to that question, OldGeezer... ANYTHING from MS is NOT to be trusted.. They've proven they're untrustworthy for many many years, and if you follow that option, you can't go wrong.. I'm an "oldgeezer" also (66 y/o) and did close to 20 years as a sysadmin supporting Windows (and Linux) and when I retired in 2010, I decided then and there I was done with MS products.. Could NOT be happier with my decision.../div>
For ANY judge who is even halfway aware of the lies this idiot has told the previous judges he's been before can STILL call these lies "misrepresentations" and NOT immediately slap Mr Steele in jail for perjury is a mystery to me.. Steele has been thumbing his nose at every judge he's been before regarding this Prenda nonsense. Not to mention, the fact he's not been disbarred is also unbelievable.. Pretty much tells me that even with a lying asshole like Steele, the US court system still applies "professional courtesy" to slime like Steele... You can BET if he wasn't a lawyer, he'd be behind bars already with his behavior.../div>
Big difference between a judge ordering *you* to take ballet lessons and a judge ordering a lawyer to take ethics training.. The lawyer, as an officer of the court, has to follow what the judge of *that* court tells him to do, otherwise its contempt of court.. You on the other hand, unless you're in front of said judge being tried for some misdeed, you're not required to follow his instructions. Hell, I'm not even a flippin' lawyer and I know this../div>
Thats what you get when you deal with mega-banks like Chase.. The only bank I have ANY connection with is USAA, and frankly I kinda doubt I'd have to worry about this kind of insanity from them. My normal household accounts have been with a credit union for over 30 years, and once again, I can't imagine my credit union being this moronic.../div>
You gotta wonder how much more the courts are going to take of this bozos antics before they throw him behind bars.. oh wait.. He's a lawyer.. Judges are/were lawyers, its professional courtesy.. Thats gotta be why he (and the rest of the Prenda clowns) are not behind bars.. You or I certainly would, if we did even .05% of the crap these bozos have pulled.../div>
Wait... Is that the "Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea" or the "Democratic Peoples Republic of Kalifornia"... Its sooooo hard to tell the difference nowadays.... /s/div>
Is it just me or is there something absolutely batshit-insane about a sniper shooting someone who is 1) no danger to ANYone else but himself, and is clearly bent on committing suicide?
I guess thats the new way to off yourself.. Death by Cop..../div>
"We may automatically check your version of the software and download software updates or configuration changes, including those that prevent you from accessing the Services, playing counterfeit games, or using unauthorized hardware peripheral devices. You may also be required to update the software to continue using the Services."
I don't usually use profanity, but in this case, its DEFINITELY warranted...
FUCK YOU MICROSOFT... sooooo glad I made the switch to Linux back around 2011, never going back.../div>
I noticed they use the word "voluntary" here.. Makes me wonder if they're using the same definition of "voluntary" that their brothers over at the IRS use.. namely the IRS's constant use of the term "voluntary compliance".. Two words that really don't belong together, but then the IRS really doesn't belong in ANY country besides perhaps the old USSR.../div>
You don't have to have your tin-foil hat on too tight, or hell, even HAVE a tin-foil hat, to realize that this government is working hard to make EVERYBODY a criminal.. With all of the laws/rules, written by unelected bureaucrats, its close to impossible to NOT break some law/rule every day of the year.. No matter how law-abiding you are, I gar-on-tee you you've broken *some* law or "rule" every day of your life, and are just lucky some gun-happy LEO hasn't caught you and put you behind bars.. THAT, Friends, is the aim of our current "government"..../div>
The last time I paid any significant attention to the Olympics was in 1972, when I was in the US Army, stationed in Germany, and got a ticket to an event, which just happened to be scheduled on the day the terr-ists shot up the place... Since then, I could not care less about them.. And I get the feeling that this "don't care" attitude is becoming more prevalent, especially with these over-the-top IOC antics.../div>
Their login site musta been hammered, it took me a half-hour of trying to create an account.. Once I did, however, it was a piece of cake to transfer a couple of domains, both from StopDaddy.. I'd been planning on moving them elsewhere, and this was just toooo good a deal (for me AND the EFF) to turn down... Two birds.. One stone../div>
> How is a Mormon Democrat anything resembling a family >values conservative? The ties between porn and the >Democratic party are well understood.
I'd wonder that myself.. Being a Mormon myself, I can't, in my wildest nightmares, ever concieve of either myself or ANY Mormon, who actually believes in what the Church teaches, being a democrat.. Which brings us to Harry Reid, who claims to be a Mormon..../div>
Marriot is particularly bad about this.. There is actually two "Marriots", the big swanky hotel-type Marriots, and the motel-style Marriots. The motel-style Marriots go by names like "ResidenceInn" etc.. Waaay back in 2004, I stayed in the downtown Atlanta Marriot and was charged $10/day for wifi, and later on that same trip I stayed at a Marriot ResidenceInn in Sarasota Florida, and the wifi was free. Seems somewhat backwards somehow.../div>
Too big for their britches..
