Erm...not impeached as that would not apply. I think the one you are looking for is contempt of congress. The problem there however is that one Rep. does not Congress make so Kirk can tell Issa to go pound salt.../div>
While I agree with the politicization angle suspicion; it does not remove the validity of Issa's critique of the USTR and their total lack of transparency.
His motivation is suspect; his topic in this scenario is not.../div>
Nowhere in the article did it say this was one sided; just that it appears from the empirical evidence that there is something basically corrupt with the entire lobbying structure and that your elected representatives (and their staffers) have improper incentives to push certain things that go against the needs of their constituents.
Trying to use a "well he did it, so I should be able to do it too!" argument falls flat in this forum - please try again...
While many share your frustration, threats of physical violence will only result in the opposition to your POV digging in deeper and coming back at you harder. Why make the divide wider while doing nothing to solve the actual problems?/div>
Be careful that the "town square" does not get squashed in the way the Chinese and others all through history have reacted to popular movements by closing the square itself and "removing" those impediments to their agendas.../div>
LOL - they are not serving an American customer in the US, they are servicing an American citizen that has visited their site which is hosted in another country. So are you saying that should an American go overseas to say, Amsterdam and partake of a little cannabis, that the US should then be able to go there, close down the coffee shop, and seize the property?/div>
Yes, as long as there is chance they will forget the smell from the consequences of their actions they should be reminded every time they even think about submitting a takedown.../div>
The Government is locked in politics and the agenda is what the agenda is because of the organizer's ideological biases. IF they however were to use the strategy of DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME, they at least would reduce the cost of their dry cleaning bills to remove all those nasty egg stains.../div>
Interestingly enough, minus the overt religious tone of the post, he has a larger, valid point you appear to miss entirely: Should the innocent also be punished for the actions of criminals?
Worth thinking about so no, in this context I find his post both intriguing and to the point.../div>
And for those who cannot afford the inflated pricing, have no legal means to obtain the works in question, and who are only participating in downloading that which the AUTHORS (you know, the ARTISTS/CREATORS) of those works were trying to share with all who might be interested? How is putting barriers in front of education NOT censorship?
Can you please either make a valid point or get over it?
And would you please pull your head out of your rear-end and see that the current structure is entirely slanted towards the gatekeepers and profit over the betterment of mankind?/div>
Still... In order to change the system, we may need some new blood for the Presidency along with changing the rules elsewhere.
The problem here is that there IS no viable replacement for Obama in the current slate of Republican or even third party candidates during the current cycle - unless of course you DO prefer picking the one that survives the clown car experience of the current GOP primaries.
Don't get me wrong here, Obama has not been the shinning star many thought he would be, but then who is?/div>
