  on Key Techdirt SOPA/PIPA Post Censored By Bogus DMCA Takedown Notice
  You left out that this was just an index removal on Google only. Bing and Yahoo have your post on the top when "site:www.techdirt.com sopa" is entered. So, the complaint is only for Google?
  
  I understand the complaint, but please be complete when explaining what is going on.

  of companies I can avoid from now on. Some of them I've utilized in the past, but won't continue my relationship with them. Some I haven't used... ever (Nike shoes don't fit me right).
  
  Your best bet is to contact your representatives in congress to get this brought to the forefront of conversation. Complaining in the comment section of a blog is one thing, but take it to their pocketbooks and their lobbyists. This last election has many legislators nervous.

  on Appropriation Artist Jeff Koons Threatens Company & Retailers For Selling Classic Balloon Dog Bookends
  I found the Park Life shop and tried to add the balloon dog bookends to my cart, just to see the pricetag on such a novelty and got this message... "Sorry, we are currently sold out of 'BALLOON DOG BOOK END - Please call Jeff Koons and his Lawyers.'. Please check back later." Nice little jab there.

  NoScript

  on Messing With Copy/Paste Could Present Security Issues
  I have similar feeling as @WeNeedHelp. Javascript and active scripting is a huge problem... so disable it. I use a firefox plugin called Noscript. I can add the domains that I fully trust to a whitelist and things like Tynt to the blacklist of never accepting. I've never had issues with what's considered "drive-by-scripting" hacks. When I first read your story, I was wondering what the real issue was because I've copied and pasted information to send to colleagues and friends from the mentioned websites, but never had anything inserted. I've added Tynt to my "untrusted" list on NoScript and won't have an issue with them ever.

  Awesome Bundle

  on Humble Indie Bundle Keeps Getting Better, Exceeding Expectations
  I purchased the bundle before they added the newest Samorost 2 game. One, it's a great deal for software. I have been looking for a few good games for my PC, I was also looking for something in budget... bingo! The great point is that you can specify how much goes towards the developers and the charity, so if you wanted to do it just for the charity reasons, you get good games. The whole point is that they care more about putting out good games than going after pirates. If you are replacing the games with good sequels instead of worrying about DRM and chasing pirates your games will be better and people won't complain as much. Love the bundle, love the concept, waiting anxiously to see if the rest of the markets take this ideal.
