  on Google's Attempt To Bully Microsoft Back With Patents Not Going Too Well
  B&N is not exactly a small business, but the moment they started manufacturing stuff, Microsoft attacked them with ridiculous patents. I'm a much (much!) smaller player than B&N. If Microsoft attacks me, I'll just have to shut down my business.
  
  Heck, I'd even be happy if Google wins these ridiculous patent wars: they don't have a history of unprovoked attacks.

  No surprise. Bihar is particularly known for its lawlessness. This is just another example of how arbitrary village councils can get. This attitude that "leaders" need to make rules for the rest of us is quite representative of India.

  Reasonable? Depends. Was there some kind of a contract that said that all performances will adhere to the letter of the play? If people chose to accept the contract, they have to abide by it. If so, any intentional deviation would make the result a derivative work. Sounds too bad? Don't make such contracts.
