Ok, time to get out the dictionary to help out the uninformed.
Crony capitalism is when you make political decisions in order to enrich your favored insiders (the cronies). For example, if your political backer was Warren Buffet who owns several railroads that transport oil, you might block a pipeline which would transport oils cheaper and safer.
Cronyism is where you provide political posts for your favored insider. For example, the DNC had a list of ambassadorships which were to be awarded in HRC's white house, where the main criteria for the post was the amount of money donated. The difference between a crony and a regular qualified person is the impropriety of the relationship between the people and the belief that factors other than "working for the good of the country" are involved.
In Trump's case, we have several billionaires whom trump knows going into his cabinet. But most of them are merely people he knows but does not have business relationships with. For example, Rex Tillerson, former CEO of ExxonMobil. As a real estate developer, Trump did not do a lot of business directly with Exxon. Also, Tillerson didn't even donate to Trump's campaign, but instead supported Jeb Bush.
Being rich and successful is not a bad thing in and of itself./div>
So, based on no facts whatsoever, you propose that the new president, who campaigned against crony capitalism would turn around and engage in blatant democrat style crony capitalism.
How does the 1st amendment apply here? The decision to hang the painting was GOVERNMENT speech in a GOVERNMENT office. The decision to take it down was also GOVERNMENT speech. Since the painting was returned to the original congressman who can re-hang it, his decision not to re-hang it is also GOVERNMENT speech.
This whole kerfuffle is nothing more than a family arguing over what gets stuck to the front of the family refrigerator./div>
Its really hard to read these articles without laughing at the author. You are quoting maximum possible sentences without realizing that there are clear guidelines on what the ACTUAL sentences may be.
Depending on his previous criminal history, he could be getting 21-27 months.
So, just because you don;t like trump, you have to write a story disparaging him every day.
he did not "shit on the first amendment". He answered the free speech of the protesters with his won free speech saying he thought they were wrong. That is EXACTLY what 1st amendment proponents say you should do! He is not suppressing anyone, just adding to the conversation and offering his opinion.
Stop trying to make him controversial when he is being reasonable. Freaking out daily will make people ignore you, boy who cried wolf./div>
Hired "grassroots" protesters were a proven fact during the campaign.
In the post campaign era, there is ample evidence: craigslist ads, pre-made signs that are identical at protests in several cities, and even photos of a long line of buses that the protesters arrived on./div>
Yes, Facebook and Twitter and YouTube helped Trump, but not in the way that you laughably propose.
No, the 50 million Trump voters are not all dumb rubes falling for scam articles as you condescendingly suggest. Instead, the tech savvy among those voters saw things happen with their own eyes as the censorship and shadowbanning of conservative ideas happened on a daily basis. They saw truly educational videos by Prager U being put into restricted mode by YouTube, they saw Google manipulating search results in favor of the dems.
They also saw behind the scenes collusion as the big media companies jockeyed for favors in Clinton's administration.
Techdirt should get out of their blinders off and realize that censorship doesn't suppress the truth. It emboldens those censored to struggle harder./div>

As it was pointed out, charges are almost never brought against the official doing the illegal search.
So what did Ms. Reynolds REALLY do to get charged? I assume she is being thrown under the bus for a reason not listed in the court's opinion./div>

The 29 signatories (pdf) are all European academics, and they include the well-known economist Thomas Piketty,...
And with the inclusion of this trendy ill-informed clown, all of my support is lost.
