Folks in Great Britain Don't Care About the Internet Economy

from the nor-should-they dept

An interesting study out of Great Britain which says that people there don't really care much about the Internet economy. I don't know much about the study or its methodology, so I'll leave that to someone else to verify, but if it's true, I think it's a good thing. There has definitely been too much hype. I (obviously) think a lot of good can come out of the internet, but it will be even better when people aren't just gadget shopping, but rather incorporating it into their lives without even thinking about it.

    A little too pessimestic

It's more of a cultural thing, people here in Britain tend not to get particularly excited about things such as technology. The main thing that seems to float their boat is getting drunk at Pubs (which can be pretty enjoyable) but of course that's a huge generalisation Britain has some pretty hardcore techies but they don't get much respect here.
