A Mirror For Computer Addicts
from the sounds-great dept
It's amazing what new markets people can find for their technologies. A special "Ultraview Mirror" that was originally sold to sign-language interpreters to let them see behind them without reversing the image (by using two mirrors) is now being sold to computer addicts who want to use it to watch a TV behind them. What's scary is my first reaction on reading this was "man, that would be useful". Though, of course, despite the article's claim that this would be for computer addicts, I'm guessing it would help to be both a computer and a TV addict to make this product really worthwhile.Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.
Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.
While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

Where can I get one?
Up until now I didn't know these existed, now I feel as if I can't live without one!

Re: Where can I get one?
This is the closest I could find. I don't know if this is the item described above, but it looks like it.
