The True American Addiction? Computer Solitaire

I've always been pretty good about not playing too many simple games on my computer, but every once in a while I'll pop open a game that comes with the machine and waste a few minutes. Clearly, I'm not alone. Here's a somewhat tongue-in-cheek column suggesting that the biggest drain on American productivity is Microsoft's solitaire game and its "evil twin" Free Cell. The problem with these games is that it's easy to start and say you'll just play one hand, but then you get into this mode where you have to keep playing until you win.

The *good* thing about it, though, is that with a baseball game there's a pretty well defined beginning and end.
