Masters Of Doom

Salon is running an interesting
review of a new book about id Software called
Masters of Doom: How Two Guys Created an Empire and Transformed Pop Culture
. The review is more interesting than your average book review, because it's not really a review at all. It's a chance for the writer to completely trash the story in the book saying that it's misleading and full of lies about what's happened in the gaming industry. I, honestly, don't know enough about the personalities involved, and everything in the Salon article could be true - but it certainly reads like it's written by someone with a very large chip on their shoulder about id.

I would say more, but I've got to go...
